Hi Friends,
This weekend, I’m hosting a small lunch for a couple of friends, and I know I’ll need to remind myself to take deep breaths and practice staying calm—especially since hosting naturally brings out the chatter in me!
These friends recently missed something important in my life, and while I’m working on letting it go, it hasn’t been easy. Some things are just hard to overlook. I’ll continue to show up as myself, but I recognize that our dynamic will likely feel different moving forward.
What do you need to practice this weekend? A little more patience? Forgiveness—even if the other person hasn’t apologized? Or perhaps learning to let go? For me, it’s all three. It’s challenging, but I know I can move past this, and I believe you can too.
Some friendship lessons are tough, but they teach us to stay true to ourselves. If letting go is what you need, know that it’s okay. Protect your peace and prioritize your happiness.
