Day 179 of 2022-Summer plans

 What are your plans for the summer? The summer of 2022 will never return so what are you going to do this summer that will be different and wild? 

How about planning some impromptu trips or just saying yes to all the summer plans that come up. Do something different and make the most of it since before you know it, summer will be over and then kids are back at school and you will be preparing for the fall and end of year. 

Make the most of it, enjoy and just really have fun no matter what you do. Summer is my favorite season and I plan on making the most of it. Get out there and say yes!

Because there really is no reason to be afraid. We get influenced by others, culture and our own mind. Take a step back and ask yourself what am I afraid of and why? The walk through and feel the emotions. 

Act like there is no reason to and move forward. Looking back a few years from now, you might be glad that you did.

Day 177 of 2022-Wake up early

 I know a lot of us love to sleep in on the weekends and we should especially if we have had a busy week and feeling tired.

I like to wake up early on weekends. I get an hour or two to myself and seem to get a lot done. Waking up early has been my thing and no matter how late I sleep, my body always wakes me up the same time every morning. 

If you never tried to wake up early, try it one time. You may need an alarm but notice if it makes a difference. It does take a little getting to but for me its made a huge difference.

Day 174 of 2022- Find some quiet time

 I have back to the office and it certainly has been different and hard to adjust. I always like my drive in and back. During my drive in, I listen to meditation music and it really helps me to prepare for the day ahead.

During my drive back, I listen to whatever is on the radio and it gives me time to process the day and let it go. It is my quiet time. Make sure that you find your moment of quiet sometime during the day. I have mine in the morning and on the drive back. 

If you work from home, find the time to be quiet and be still before you get to your other household chores. Keep that boundary so that your work time and home time is separated. 

Find that quiet time today. It does not have to be long. Even just a few minutes will help.

Day 167 of 2022- Take sometime to read

 I have been coming back really late from work these days and then rushing for dinner. I always find time to wind down with a book.

I find that reading at the end of the day really helps me to sleep better. It takes the stress away from the day and enables me to relax.

If you have not tried reading to wind down, try it tonight. It does not have a book. It can be an article or a short story. Read something that interests you.

Day 163 of 2022- Keep moving even if you are tired

 I have had one of those days where I just can't seem to catch a breathe. I have been moving non stop since I woke up with very little time to sit.

Sometimes you just have to keep moving no matter what. I have so many things on my to do list and it all had to get done today. I am close to finishing but am really exhausted.

I know many of you can relate to this feeling. Know that you are not alone. We are all having this exhausted feeling and still have to keep moving. Take frequent breaks if you need to and stop if it gets too much.

Given it is Sunday and there is so much to do today especially because I am back to work so my schedule is all over the place I go easy on myself. I suggest you do the same and be gentle with yourself. There is already so much going on so be kind to yourself.

Get some rest tonight and get to bed early! Another week is upon us.

Day 160 of 2022- Are you tired?

Pay attention to how you are feeling. Write it down and name it. You may think you are feeling okay, but what is okay?

Take time everyday to notice and really sink into how your body is feeling. I know that I am tired and my body needs rest so today, rather than pushing myself, I am going to skip the gym, My body also need good fuel to recharge and I need to stay away from coffee. 

Close your eyes and take the time to notice. Then listen and follow through for what your body needs.

Day 158 of 2022-Pause

 Happy Monday! There are a lot of times where I tend to react or just answer when truly what I need is to pause and we all have done that. 

This week, before answering or wanting to jump in, pause. Practice pausing and do it frequently. This allows time to think before you answer. I ask myself, how do I want to respond to this? Do I need to say something or just listen? How is my response going to affect the other person? Where is my response coming from?

Asking yourself these questions, helps to craft your response better. I find that a lot of times, I just need to listen or my response can be paired down to just a few words. 

So pause, and do it frequently. Make it a habit, you will find it really life changing.

Day 152 of 2022- June goals

 Happy June friends! Its finally feeling warm where I am and I am loving it. Summer is almost here and it is my favorite season.

As we start the month, think about somethings that you would like to see happen for yourself. What goals remain outstanding from prior months or what new things would you like to try?

List out a few goals or new things that you like to tackle and come up with a game plan to accomplish it. We all love checking of our to do's but focus more on self goals and self care.
