Day 185 of 2026- A Fun Weekend

 Hi Friends,

If you have a long weekend because of the Independence Day holiday, make really good use of it. Take time to step away from your normal routine and enjoy the extra space in your schedule. Go outside, enjoy the weather, spend time with family or friends, and let yourself relax.

Eat the fun grilled food, enjoy fresh fruit, laugh a little more, and make the weekend feel special. Sometimes the best weekends are not about doing anything complicated. They are about being present, enjoying simple moments, and making memories with the people around you.

So this weekend, make it a blast. Rest, recharge, celebrate, and enjoy every bit of it.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 184 of 2026- A Hot Day

 Hi Friends,

It's a scorcher outside today. And on days like this, water suddenly becomes everyone's favorite drink,  even for those of us who usually pass on "plain old water."

Here's the thing: we only remember to hydrate when the heat forces us to. But your body needs water every single day, not just the sweltering ones.

So here's your reminder, not just for hot days, but for all days: drink your water. Your body runs on it.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 183 of 2026- Happy July

 Hi Friends,

Happy July. A new month is here, and with it comes another chance to enjoy the season we are in.

As July begins, take a moment to ask yourself:

What do I want this month to feel like?

What do I need more of in my life right now?

Where can I slow down and be more present?

What is one thing I can do for myself, my family, or my well-being this month?

I hope you take some time to enjoy July. Take a vacation if you can. Go to the beach. Enjoy the sun. Spend time with loved ones. Make new friends. Laugh more. Rest when you need to. Create memories that remind you how beautiful life can be.

And most importantly, keep a positive outlook on life. Every month brings new opportunities, new lessons, and new moments to be grateful for.

Wishing you a peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 182 of 2026- End Of June

 Hi Friends,

Happy last day of June.

Another month is coming to an end, and just like that, we have completed the first six months of 2026. It feels like a good time to pause, breathe, and reflect before stepping into the second half of the year.

How was June for you?

Was it peaceful, busy, exciting, overwhelming, or a mix of everything?

Were you able to spread some joy and smiles around?

Did you take time to enjoy small moments, or did the month pass by too quickly?

As we reach the halfway point of the year, it is also a good time to reflect on the past six months. What went well? What are you proud of? What lessons did you learn? What do you want to carry forward, and what do you need to leave behind?

Maybe the first half of the year went exactly how you hoped. Maybe it did not. Either way, you are still here, still learning, still growing, and still capable of choosing how you want to move forward.

Take a few minutes today to check in with yourself.

Are your daily choices matching the person you want to become?

As June ends, may you be grateful for what it taught you, proud of what you handled, and hopeful for what is still ahead.

Here’s to closing this month with reflection and beginning the next one with intention.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Peace

Day 181 of 2026- Happy Monday

 Hi Friends,

Hope you’re having a good start to your Monday.

A friendly reminder to carry your sunshine wherever you go today. Smile. Say hi. Be kind. Choose happiness when you can.

You never know who may already be having a hard day. A small moment of warmth from you could make their day feel a little lighter.

So if you have some joy in you today, don’t keep it all to yourself. Share it. Spread it. Let someone else feel it too.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 180 of 2026- A Good Sunday

 Hi Friends,

I’m glad I accomplished so much today and even had time for a nap. It was wonderful and much needed.

Sundays are dedicated to relaxation, and I make sure to prioritize it. With the busy, exhausting weekdays, I try to squeeze in naps during the weekend. How do you usually spend your Sundays?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 179 of 2026- Happy Saturday

 Hi Friends,

“Set wide the window. Let me drink the day.”

This beautiful line was written by Edith Wharton, an American author best known for her novels about society, class, and human emotions. She was the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and her writing often focused on the quiet details of everyday life.

To me, this quote feels like a reminder to slow down and enjoy what is right in front of us. Opening the window is such a small action, but it can also feel like opening yourself up to life. The fresh air, the sunlight, and the sounds outside can make an ordinary day feel special.

Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to notice the world around us. Wharton’s words remind us to pause, breathe, and take in the day fully.

It is a simple quote, but it has a peaceful message: let life in.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 178 of 2026- Just Chilling Today

 Hi Friends,

As I mentioned in my post yesterday, I am logging off from work today. We all need to get better at logging off work every so often and truly taking the time off that we need.

Time off does not necessarily mean going somewhere, though that is nice. It can also mean staying at home, cleaning, taking a nap, catching up on movies, spending time with your kids, etc.

Today is my day to be home with my kids, relax, maybe take a nap, and catch up on reading. So, if you had the day off, what are some things you would do?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 177 of 2026- Logging Off Tomorrow

 Hi Friends,

I'm giving myself the day off tomorrow. And a few days next week.

The transition will still be messy when I get back. The new leadership will still be finding their way. The personalities will still clash. Nothing will be "fixed" in my absence and that's actually the point. The work doesn't depend on me holding everything together. If it does, that's a problem for after I've rested, not before.

Taking time off right now isn't a luxury. It's not something I'm doing instead of my job. It's something I'm doing for my job because the only way I can show up steadily while everyone else is finding their footing is if I actually have something left to give.

So tomorrow, I'm logging out. And I'm not checking Slack.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 176 of 2026- The Mess Continues

 Hi Friends,

Yesterday I wrote about lessons learned during transitions. Today I'm here to tell you: the mess continues, and that's okay.

Because here's what I didn't mention, transitions are messy not just because of systems and knowledge gaps. They're messy because people are involved. Different communication styles, competing priorities, stress responses, and yes, sometimes difficult personalities. The ideal handoff where everyone is patient and clear? It's rare. The reality is more complicated.

I'm learning that managing a transition means managing two things at once: the work and the relationships. And relationships are unpredictable.

The real challenge isn't the systems or the knowledge transfer. It's the people and right now, that includes new leadership trying to find their footing while you're trying to find yours.

Right now, it feels like we're just putting out fires. A decision was made that needs immediate correction. A miscommunication spirals into three different interpretations of what was actually said. Someone gets defensive about feedback they didn't ask for. The transition is temporary. The mess is temporary. But how you move through it? That stays with people.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 175 of 2026- Transition Mess

 Hi Friends,

Transitions are hard. Really hard.

I am transitioning into a new role, my manager recently left, and our team is changing. It has reminded me that no transition is ever perfect.

Here are a few lessons I am learning:

Not everything can be transferred from a knowledge perspective. Some things will simply have to be picked up by the next person along the way. So don’t stress yourself trying to cover every single detail.

Focus on the top priorities. The rest will start to fall into place.

You cannot teach every new person everything, but you can do your best to give them the key things they need to start.

Patience is also important. When you are meeting with the person taking over, staying calm and regulated matters more than you realize.

And finally, remember that you will soon be on the other side too, learning your own new role. So have grace. Be gentle with yourself and with the other person.

Transitions are not easy, but they are also temporary

Expect things to feel slower at first. During transitions, even simple tasks can take longer because people are asking questions, learning systems, and building confidence.

Protect your own energy. It is easy to overextend yourself trying to make the transition perfect, but you still need space to prepare for your own next role.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 174 of 2026- A Hope Quote

 Hi Friends,

Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.” ~ Lin Yutang

Hope is not always something we can see right away. Sometimes, it feels like there is no clear path in front of us. Lin Yutang’s quote reminds us that hope is created through action. A road does not appear in the country until people begin walking in the same direction. In the same way, progress often starts with one small step, even when the future is uncertain.

Many times, we wait for proof before we begin. We want confidence, clarity, and guarantees. But hope does not always come before the journey. Sometimes, hope is built because we keep going. Every choice, every effort, and every person who believes in something better helps form the road.

This quote teaches us that hope is not passive. It is something we create together by moving forward. Even when there is no road yet, our steps can make one.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 173 of 2026- A Win For Today

 Hi Friends,

There is such a sense of accomplishment when you do something, even if you did not feel like it. For example, exercise.

This morning, I did not want to wake up and work out. All of me was saying, “Just sleep in and go tomorrow.”

As tired and achy as I was, I woke up, got dressed, and went to the gym.

A win for the day.

What win or wins can you have today?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 172 of 2026- A Beautiful Saturday

 Hi Friends,

It is such a beautiful Saturday morning where I am. It is a perfect 68°F with low humidity, the sun is shining, and I had a good eight hours of sleep.

Sleep, the sun, nature, and our environment all affect us so much. They are part of our basic needs. We can control our sleep, and when possible, we should try to get eight hours each night. Nature can be a little different, but whether it is rain or sun, I truly enjoy the warmth on my skin. The cold, not so much, but snow is still so pretty to look at.

Today, try to spend some time in nature, weather permitting. Try to get a full eight hours of sleep tonight. Taking care of our basic needs is so fundamental.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 171 of 2026- Close Out Friday

 Hi Friends,

As we end this Friday, take a moment to step back and just breathe.

It may have been a busy week. Maybe there were deadlines, decisions, conversations, or moments that took more out of you than you expected.

But do not carry the busyness into the weekend. Leave it behind where it belongs.

Close out what needs to be closed. Let go of what can wait. Remind yourself that you showed up, you handled what you could, and you did the best you could with the time, energy, and clarity you had.

The weekend is not just a break from work. It is a chance to return to yourself.

You do not have to earn rest by finishing everything. Sometimes, rest is what allows you to begin again with a clearer mind.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 170 of 2026- Be You

 Hi Friends,

“Everything in nature invites us constantly to be what we are.” ~ Gretel Ehrlich

A tree does not apologize for taking up space. A flower does not rush to bloom because another flower opened first. The sun does not ask permission to shine, and the ocean does not shrink itself to make others comfortable.

That is what I love about this quote. It reminds us that maybe we are not here to force ourselves into something we are not. Maybe we are here to return to who we already are underneath the noise, pressure, comparison, and expectations.

Nature keeps giving us the same invitation: grow at your own pace, stand in your own shape, and trust your own season.

Because the world does not need a copied version of someone else. It needs the one and only you.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 169 of 2026- A Judgement

 Hi Friends,

A senior leader on my team is preparing to leave the company, and the transition of her work felt scattered. There was a lot to cover, but no clear agenda or consistent process for handing it over.

My first reaction was judgment. Then I paused.

Maybe the lesson was not about one person. Maybe it was about how easily important knowledge can live in someone’s head, notes, and daily habits without ever becoming a clear process.

It made me think about how everyone works. If you had to hand over everything on your plate tomorrow, would another person know where to begin?

Sometimes the moments that frustrate us also give us a question worth asking ourselves.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 168 of 2026- A Tuesday Reminder

 Hi Friends,

Tuesday can feel like an in-between day. The week is underway, but the weekend still feels far away.

So today, give yourself a little room to breathe.

Pause when you need to. Notice something good. Be kind to yourself and to the people around you.

You may not complete everything on your list, and that is okay.

A good day is not always measured by how much you accomplish. Sometimes it is measured by how present you were, how calmly you responded, or how you made someone else feel.

I hope your Tuesday brings you a clear mind, a few peaceful moments, and at least one reason to smile.

Have a good day.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 167 of 2026- A Great Quote

 Hi Friends,

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” — Anne Frank.

We often think improving the world requires a big platform, a perfect plan, or the right opportunity.

But change rarely begins that way, it begins in ordinary moments.

A thoughtful response instead of a quick reaction.
A kind word when someone is struggling.
A decision to speak up, help, listen, or take responsibility.

We do not have to wait until we have more time, more influence, or more certainty. We can begin with what is in front of us and start with yourself.

In finance, I have learned that small decisions compound. The same is true in life. One intentional action may seem insignificant, but repeated over time, it can change a relationship, a workplace, a community, or even the direction of a life.

Improving the world does not always mean doing something extraordinary.

Sometimes it simply means choosing to make the next moment better than the last.

The question is, “What can I improve today?”

Have a great Monday!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 166 of 2026- A Small Sunday Yes

 Hi Friends,

Today, I was tired and really did not feel like driving 20 minutes to the grocery store. But my child had been asking for something, and it mattered to them. So I went.

It was not a big sacrifice or a life-changing decision. It was simply one of those small moments when love asks us to move beyond what we feel like doing.

We often think meaningful choices have to be dramatic. Most of the time, they are not.

Sometimes they look like getting in the car when you would rather stay home. Sometimes they look like showing up, listening, or doing one small thing that lets someone know they matter.

I was still tired when I got back. But I was also glad I went.

Something to think about this Sunday: What small act of love are you willing to say yes to today?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 165 of 2026- Showing Up When You Don’t Feel Like It

 Hi Friends,

Today, I said yes to something I honestly did not feel like attending.

It was a graduation celebration for the son of one of my husband’s closest friends. I am not particularly close to the parents, but my husband and the graduate’s father have been best friends for years.

I had plenty of reasons not to go. I had a long list of things to get done, and walking into a place where I barely know anyone can feel uncomfortable for an introvert like me.

But I went for the graduate.

It was wonderful to see how happy he was and to celebrate his acceptance into the college of his choice.

For me, self leadership means making choices that align with my values, even when those choices are not the easiest or most convenient.

Yes, it felt a little awkward at times. But I made the best of it. I spoke with the people who wanted to talk, stayed for the entire event, and focused on why I was there.

Did I finish everything on my to-do list? No.

But I showed up for someone during an important moment in his life. And sometimes, that means more than checking another task off the list.

Something to think about: When was the last time you chose to show up for someone, even when it was inconvenient?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 164 of 2026- Something To Think About This Friday

 Hi Friends,

“I would rather have 30 minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.”— Robert Harling

Yesterday, I wrote about turnover, patterns, and what it means when several people leave an organization within a short period of time.

Today, this quote made me think about the choices people make when something no longer feels right.

Most of us want stability and certainty. We want to know that the next step will work out before we take it. But sometimes staying in a role, relationship, or environment simply because it is familiar can slowly take more from us than we realize.

My decision to move to another internal position was not about chasing something perfect. It was about recognizing that the role I was in was not the right fit and being willing to choose a different direction.

“Wonderful” does not have to mean exciting or dramatic. Sometimes it simply means feeling aligned, valued, challenged, or more like yourself.

A long time in the wrong place does not automatically make it meaningful. And a shorter experience can still teach us something important about what we want, what we value, and what we are no longer willing to accept.

Something to think about this Friday:

Are you staying because something is meaningful, or simply because it feels safer than making a change?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 163 of 2026- People Leaving

 Hi Friends,

Isn’t it alarming when two senior people, one junior person, and one manager all leave within less than eight months? What would you think if that happened in your organization?

That recently happened in mine. I am actually one of the people moving to an internal position in less than a year. My reason for leaving is simple: the role was not the right fit for me, and it was not what I thought it would be.

But when several people leave in a short period of time, it does make you pause.

Sometimes turnover is just timing. People grow and move and find better alignment elsewhere.

But sometimes, turnover is also information. It can reveal gaps in communication, leadership, expectations, culture, or decision-making.

For me, this experience has been a reminder that people do not only leave jobs. Sometimes they leave confusion, misalignment and leave environments where the decisions being made no longer make sense to them.

And when that happens repeatedly, it may be worth asking a deeper question:

Is this a people problem, or is this a pattern?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 162 of 2026- Indecision

 Hi Friends,

Today at work, I watched leaders struggle to make a decision even though the information was already there. The data had been gathered, the options were clear, and the decision had been sitting for almost a month.

I understand the need to be informed. Good decisions should be thoughtful, and leaders should not move forward blindly. But there is a point where needing more information becomes hiding behind information.

Indecision has a cost. It slows people down, creates confusion, and leaves teams waiting for direction. At some point, leadership requires more than analysis.

A delayed decision is still a decision. And sometimes, waiting too long does more damage than making the imperfect choice.

Have you witnessed that at work? What are your thoughts?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 161 of 2026- Taking It Slow

 Hi Friends,

Yesterday, I wrote about taking Monday slowly. Not dragging the day out, but easing into it with intention. Catching up on the small things that did not get done over the weekend. Giving yourself a little space before jumping straight into work mode.

But maybe that idea does not have to end on Monday. If work allows, maybe some of that slower momentum can carry into the rest of the week. Not every day has to begin with urgency. Not every task needs to be rushed. Sometimes moving with a little more patience helps us think more clearly, make better decisions, and feel less pulled in every direction. Slow does not mean unproductive. Sometimes slow is what keeps us steady enough to keep going.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 160 of 2026- Go Slow

 Hi Friends,

Monday's here, and before you jump straight into work mode, give yourself permission to ease in. If you didn't finish your personal stuff over the weekend, that's okay. Spend an hour yes, actually an hour catching up on emails, doing laundry, hitting the grocery store, or tackling whatever's been bugging you. Your brain will work way better once you actually sit down to work.

Working from home? Take advantage of it. Grab your coffee, chill for a bit, and ease into the day. Heading to the office? Use your commute. Get that coffee, sit in your car for a few extra minutes, and take some deep breaths before walking in. You're not being lazy, you're being smart. Start your week right, and the rest will follow.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 159 of 2026- Go Out By Yourself

 Hi Friends,

Sometimes we wait for others to invite us to go out to eat or do something fun. How about you take yourself out to eat? It may seem weird, and you might be thinking, "What if people look at me strangely?" But honestly, some of the best outings you can have are truly with yourself. You don't have to worry about where to go, you go where you want. You take as much time as you need. You can chill in your comfy clothes and not worry about dressing up. You can just be you and enjoy the company of you.

Plus, let's be real: nobody's watching. And even if they were, they're probably too focused on their own meals to judge you. Solo dining is having a moment, and you deserve to be the main character of your own story. So this weekend, treat yourself like the amazing human you are. Your future self will thank you, and you might just discover a new favorite restaurant in the process.

Now go forth and enjoy your own company. You're better at it than you think.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 158 of 2026- Summer Plans

 Hi Friends,

Yesterday, I wrote about planning for the summer season ahead.

As schools close and schedules begin to shift, summer can easily become something we move through without much thought. Vacations, family time, rest, solo time, projects, routines, and open weekends can all blend together quickly.

Here are a few questions to help you get started:

What do I want this summer to feel like?

What do I want more of?

What do I want less of?

Where do I need rest?

Who do I want to spend intentional time with?

What would make this summer feel meaningful, not just busy?

Planning does not mean every day needs to be scheduled. It simply means pausing long enough to decide what matters before the season passes by.

Summer will come either way. The question is whether you want to drift through it or move through it with intention.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 157 of 2026- Happy Friday!

 Hi Friends,

Happy Friday. I hope you had a good week. As summer approaches and schools close for summer break, take a moment to plan for the season ahead. Think about vacations, family time, solo time, and time to simply rest. Many of us move through summer without being intentional, but it is worth taking a pause and asking yourself what you want this summer to look like.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 156 of 2026- Safe Travels

 Hi Friends,

You tell someone you're going on a trip and suddenly your group chat is full of "safe travels!" messages. Like, everyone's saying it. And you're like, are people actually concerned right now, or is this just what you're supposed to type? I think it's both.

Honestly, we do worry more now. A flight delay doesn't feel like a minor inconvenience anymore, it feels like something could actually go wrong. And there's something about watching someone you care about get on a plane, or drive somewhere far, that makes you realize how little control you have. So you text them. "Safe travels." Like your words are going to somehow make a difference.

Sometimes people probably just copy what everyone else wrote in the group chat. That's real. But I think a lot of times, maybe most times people actually mean it. They're not thinking about plane crashes or whatever, they're just thinking "I want this person to be okay." And they're saying it the only way they know how.

So yeah, "safe travels" is kind of a small thing. But maybe that's the point? Maybe small things are how we tell people we care when we can't actually do anything.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 155 of 2026- A Timeless Quote

 Hi Friends,

Zhu Xi, a 12th-century Chinese philosopher, poet, and historian, left us with wisdom that still resonates today: "Wash away your old opinions to let new ideas in."

We often cling to our existing beliefs because they feel safe and familiar. But growth requires us to let go of what no longer serves us, making space for fresh perspectives and knowledge. As we enter the second half of the year, it's the perfect time to examine which opinions truly serve your goals and which ones are holding you back.

Growth doesn't happen automatically. So take a moment to reflect: what old opinions are you willing to wash away? What new ideas are you ready to embrace? Your future self will thank you for the growth you choose today.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 154 of 2026- Focus On Value

 Hi Friends,

I found myself in an interesting situation today.

We have a monthly meeting where we review data, and I've been working on improving the format and flow of the presentation to make our discussions more efficient. At our last meeting, I mentioned that I wanted to gather feedback on some proposed changes, and the idea was well received.

Today was that follow-up meeting. As I walked through the updates, one of the senior leaders who had previously supported the idea remained quiet and left the meeting early.

What stood out to me afterward was that it didn't really matter. Others in the room were engaged, contributed thoughtful feedback, and helped move the conversation forward. I got the input I needed and left with a clearer path ahead.

Sometimes we can become focused on one person's reaction, or lack of reaction, and miss what is actually happening around us.

Today's reminder: focus on the value you receive, not on the response you expected.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 153 of 2026- Happy June

 Hi Friends,

This month, think about something on your to-do list that would be easy to complete, and set a specific day, or number of days to get it done. It doesn’t have to be a big task. Maybe it’s something routine or monotonous that you’ve been procrastinating on, even though it would be relatively simple to finish.

Once you’ve completed it, take a moment to reflect on how it felt. Did you feel relieved? Accomplished? More motivated? Then choose another easy item from your list and repeat the process.

Small wins have a way of building momentum.

Let me know how it goes.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 152 of 2026- Last Day Of May

 Hi Friends,

We are on the last day of May. I have to say that while time is flying by, I am grateful for this time of year because the weather is so great.

So, how has the month been for you? Was it a fun and challenging one? Did it have lots of ups and downs? I am sure it did.

Take some time and reflect on the moments that mattered. How do those moments make you feel? Normally, during month-end reflections, I tend to ask myself questions like: What went well? What goals did I achieve? What did I not do?

But this month, I want you to just sit with it for a moment. It's the last day of May, so close your eyes and think about the smiles and laughter you experienced this month. Did a stranger say hi to you? Did someone make your day? Did you receive some good news?

Just think about your joyful moments and be present with them today. There is no need for an agenda or a long piece of writing. Just smile and be grateful.

I hope you had a great month. Time to close it out and take your smiles and good moments with you into the next month.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 151 of 2026- Rethinking Rituals

 Hi Friends,

“Don’t allow your rituals to become ruts.” — Todd Henry

Rituals can be comforting. They give us rhythm, structure, and a sense of stability. But sometimes, the same routines that once helped us can start to limit us.

Maybe this weekend is a good time to change things up a little.

Take a different route.
Try a new place.
Start your morning differently.
Have a conversation you’ve been avoiding.
Step away from the usual pattern, even in a small way.

Not every routine needs to be changed. But sometimes, a small shift creates new energy, new perspective, and new possibility.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 150 of 2026- 150 Days In

 Hi Friends,

Today marks 150 days of the year behind us. No matter what goals you set in January, this is a good moment to pause and reflect.

What's working?

What's not?

What have you learned about yourself so far this year?

It's easy to focus on what hasn't happened yet but remember progress is rarely a straight line. Sometimes the biggest wins are the lessons learned, the habits built, and the resilience developed along the way.

There are still more than 200 days left in the year which means plenty of time to adjust, recommit, or start something new.

The year isn't over and your next chapter is still being written.

What is one thing you want to focus on for the next 30 days?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 149 of 2026- A Simple Shift

 Hi Friends,

Do your days mostly feel mixed, or do they go smoothly? It probably depends on your circumstances, but with the right mindset, more smooth days are possible than you think.

Some days are mixed with stress, frustrations, never-ending work, and priorities. Other days just fly by, work gets done, people cooperate, and everything flows.

Your mindset changes everything. So if today feels heavy, try talking to yourself, remind yourself, "Yes, it's a lot, but this too shall pass." That simple shift might be all you need. Try it out and see how it goes.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 148 of 2026- A Slower Week

 Hi Friends,

This week at work was slower than usual.

No constant urgency. No back-to-back deadlines. No feeling of needing to move from one thing to the next.

And surprisingly… I loved it.

Not because nothing got done. But because the slower pace created something that busy weeks rarely do, space.

Space to think, notice and to work with more intention instead of just momentum.

It reminded me that productivity doesn’t always have to feel rushed to be meaningful. Sometimes slower lets us see more clearly.

And sometimes a quieter week isn’t a sign that less is happening. Maybe it’s just making room for something different.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 147 of 2026- One Day's Work

 Hi Friends,

"Just set one day’s work in front of the last day's work. That's the way it comes out.” ~ John Steinbeck

Progress is usually not always one big moment or one perfect plan. Most of the time, it is simply doing what you can today. Then doing it again tomorrow. Some days feel small and slow. But each day still counts. Over time, the small efforts begin to build something. One day’s work in front of the last.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 146 of 2026- A Public Holiday

 Hi Friends,

Today is a public holiday, which means there is a different kind of quiet. The pressure feels a little lighter, and for once, taking it easy feels like the plan instead of the exception. I started the morning with a nap, which honestly felt like the perfect way to honor the day.

Just a slow start, a little extra rest, and permission to simply chill. Sometimes we forget that holidays are not only about doing something big. They can also be about pausing, resetting, and enjoying the simple luxury of not having to move so fast. Today feels like one of those days where the best thing to do is less. Less rushing. Less planning. Less pressure. More rest, more ease, and maybe a little more appreciation for a quiet morning. Sometimes, that is enough.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 145 of 2026- To Do Right

 Hi Friends,

"The time is always ripe to do right." ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

MLK said this in the context of justice, courage, and standing up for what is right. And while that message is much bigger than any one person, I think it also applies to how we live our own lives. There is rarely a perfect time to do the right thing or a moment when it feels easy, convenient, or comfortable. Sometimes doing the right thing means having the hard conversation or walking away from something that no longer aligns with who you are.

Sometimes it means choosing honesty, even when silence would be easier and standing by your values when nobody else understands. We often wait for the “right time” to make a better choice, but maybe the right time is not something we wait for. Maybe the right time is created the moment we decide to act with courage, integrity, and self-respect. Do right by others, but also do right by you, because the time is always ripe to live in alignment with who you say you are.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 144 of 2026- Get An Alarm Clock

 Hi Friends,

One of Hoda Kotb’s quotes from her 2026 commencement speech really stood out to me. In her “life lessons,” Lesson No. 5 was: “Don’t use your phone as an alarm clock. Don’t do it.”

She shared nine lessons, and all of them were meaningful, but this is the one I want to touch on today.

We are so used to using our phones as alarms. It feels normal because it is convenient. But her point was deeper than just the alarm itself. She said, “Let the world in when you are ready.” The world is always trying to break into your life through notifications, messages, emails, news, and noise.

And when the first thing we reach for in the morning is our phone, we are letting the world in before we have even had a moment with ourselves.

Maybe the lesson is about giving yourself space before the day starts asking things from you. Before the world gets your attention, maybe you deserve a few quiet minutes to check in with yourself first. The phone can wait.

So go buy an alarm clock.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 143 of 2026- Grateful For Friday

 Hi Friends,

I am grateful it is Friday, and I am happy with the way the week went, not because everything was perfect and certainly not because every task was easy. But because I showed up, stayed consistent, and kept moving forward.

Some weeks remind us that progress looks like handling what is in front of you. Sometimes it looks like making one better decision. Sometimes it looks like choosing patience instead of pressure.

Friday is a good time to pause and notice that.

Before rushing into the weekend, it helps to ask:

What went well this week?
What did I learn?
Where did I show up better than before?
What am I grateful for?

This week may not have been perfect, but it still had value. Grateful for the lessons, the progress, and the chance to reset.

Happy Friday.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 142 of 2026- A Quote From A Commencement Speech

 Hi Friends,

It’s that time of year again, commencement season. A season filled with speeches, advice, reflection, and reminders for graduates stepping into what comes next.

Today, I came across a quote from Henry Winkler’s commencement speech at Emerson College that stayed with me:

“I live by two words: tenacity and gratitude. Tenacity will get you where you want to go, and gratitude will make you enjoy the journey, no matter how bumpy.”

That is such a simple but powerful combination. Tenacity is what keeps us moving when things are hard. It is the discipline to keep showing up, the courage to try again, and the belief that progress is still possible even when the path is not clear.

But gratitude matters just as much. Because if we are only focused on getting somewhere, we can miss the meaning in the journey. Gratitude helps us notice the lessons, the support, the growth, and even the small wins along the way.

Maybe the real goal is to become someone who can keep going with strength, while still appreciating where they are. Tenacity moves us forward while gratitude keeps us grounded and both are needed for the journey.

Wishing you peace and joy from my heart to yours!

Day 141 of 2026- After The Rain

 Hi Friends,

Today brought major storms, the kind that make you pause and pay attention. The sky got darker, the rain came down hard, and for a while, everything felt intense and unsettled. Storms have a way of reminding us that we are not always in control of what moves through our day.

But after it passed, there was something really nice about the shift, the air felt cooler and refreshed.

It made me think about how sometimes life works the same way. We go through moments that feel heavy, loud, or uncomfortable. We may not enjoy them while they are happening. But on the other side, there can be a sense of relief and usually what follows it is exactly what we needed.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 140 of 2026- Don't Get Worked Up

 Hi Friends,

Today, I want to remind you to take things lightly.

Sometimes we get so wound up over everything happening around us. We stress, overthink, and let small things take up too much space in our minds.

But to make the most of the day, try to take things lightly.

Get worked up over the things you truly care about and the things that actually matter. But for everything else, take a deep breath and tell yourself, “I am not going to get worked up over this.”

Because honestly, there is no point in letting every little thing drain your energy. Not everything deserves your stress. Not everything deserves your reaction.

So today, pause, breathe, and choose peace where you can.

Have a great day!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 139 of 2026- An Enjoyable Monday

 Hi Friends,

Mondays can be enjoyable if you don’t dread your job. And even if you do, remember this: nothing in life is forever.

You may dread it right now. You may feel tired, stuck, or unmotivated. But this season will not last forever. Every Monday is not just another day to get through. It is also another chance to shift your mindset, make one small change, and move yourself closer to where you want to be.

So instead of letting Monday control your mood, try choosing how you want to show up.

Enjoy your coffee, take a deep breath and do one thing well. Find one small reason to smile.

You may not be exactly where you want to be yet, but you are still moving.

Make the most of your Monday.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 138 of 2026- A Sunday Quote

 Hi Friends,

"Nothing succeeds like success. Get a little success, and then just get a little more. "~ Maya Angelou

Success does not always have to start big. Sometimes it begins with one small step, one good choice, or one moment where you prove to yourself that you can keep going.

That little success matters because it builds confidence. It gives you evidence that progress is possible. Once you experience even a small win, it becomes easier to take the next step.

For example, maybe you said you would go to the gym three times a week. And for the last two weeks, you actually did it.

That may not seem like a huge success, but it is. It is proof that you can follow through. It is proof that you can keep a promise to yourself.

Success usually grows through momentum. You do something small, you learn from it, and then you do a little more.

The first step may not change everything, but it can change how you see yourself.

And once you start seeing yourself as someone who can make progress, success becomes less about luck and more about consistency. So today, focus on one small win.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 137 of 2026- Saturday Morning Nap

 Hi Friends,

A nice morning nap certainly changes the rest of the day for me.

After such a busy week, taking a nap on a Saturday morning feels so great. There is something wonderful about finally being able to slow down without rushing to the next thing. The week can feel nonstop, so that extra rest feels like a way to catch up with yourself again.

Waking up after a Saturday morning nap makes the day feel lighter. It is like the body and mind finally got a little space to breathe.

Sometimes the best part of the weekend is not having a big plan. Sometimes it is simply getting the rest you needed all week.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 136 of 2026- Mid Month

 Hi Friends,

Here we are almost mid month. How is the month going for you? Here are some reflective questions to think about in mid month:

What has been going well this month?

What has felt harder than expected?

Is there anything you need to adjust before the month ends?

What is one thing you want to give more attention to?

What is one thing you may need to let go of?

Mid-month is a good time to pause, not to judge yourself, but to check in honestly.

There is still time to reset, refocus, and move through the rest of the month with more intention.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 135 of 2026- Work Reminder

 Hi Friends,

Have you ever been in a work meeting where you can sense the tension in the presenter’s voice?

They are getting bombarded with questions, trying to respond, but they may not have all the answers in that moment. It is all too common and it is also a reminder to go easy.

Not every question is an attack. Not every pause means someone is unprepared. Sometimes people are simply processing, thinking, or trying to find the best answer under pressure.

Work meetings can bring out stress, urgency, and defensiveness very quickly. But taking things personally usually makes the moment heavier than it needs to be.

Ask the question to seek clarity. But also leave room for people to be human. A little patience can change the tone of the whole conversation.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 134 of 2026- A Quote

 Hi Friends,

"Don’t plan it all. Let life surprise you a little."

Julia Alvarez offers a different approach from what we often hear. So many self-help messages tell us to plan everything, map it all out, and always have a strategy. And yes, planning matters.Plan for the things you can control and prepare where you can. Be intentional with your choices.

But for everything else, maybe a little surprise from life can be beneficial.

Life does surprise us. Sometimes in beautiful ways. Sometimes in ways we did not want or expect. But even those moments can teach us something. They can redirect us, challenge us, or help us see what we may have missed.

Not everything has to be perfectly planned to be meaningful. Sometimes, the unexpected becomes part of the lesson.

Day 133 of 2026- Happy Tuesday

 Hi Friends,

The sun is shining bright today, and sometimes that alone can shift your whole mood.

There is something about a sunny day that feels like a small reset. The light comes through the windows, the sky feels more open, and even ordinary things can feel a little more hopeful.

It is a reminder that not every day has to be heavy. Some days are here to remind us to breathe, step outside, and let a little light in.

The sun does not fix everything, but it can make things feel a little lighter. It can remind us that warmth still exists, even after cold or cloudy seasons.

So today, take a moment to notice it.

Look up. Feel the light. Let the brightness remind you that new energy is always possible.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 132 of 2026- Monday Motivation

 Hi Friends,

T"he universe is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper." -Eden Phillpotts

I love this quote because it reminds us that life is not always lacking magic. Sometimes, we are just not ready to see it yet.

There are answers, lessons, and opportunities all around us, but we may miss them when we are distracted, rushed, or stuck in our own way of thinking.

As we grow, learn, and become more aware, things that once felt ordinary can start to feel meaningful. A small moment can teach us something. A challenge can reveal strength. A delay can create space for something better. Maybe the magic was never gone and maybe our perspective just needed time to sharpen. So today, pay attention. Stay curious. Keep learning.

The universe may already be showing you something. You just have to be open enough to notice it.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 131 of 2026- Rest Up

 Hi Friends,

Sunday is a good reminder that rest needs to be a priority, not a reward. We often treat rest like something we have to earn after everything else is done, but there will always be something else waiting for our attention.

There will be another task, another responsibility and another reason to keep going. But rest is not wasted time. Rest is how we reset, refocus, and return to ourselves. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause long enough to breathe, gather your energy, and stop running on empty. Make rest a priority today, even if it is only for a moment. You need that too.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 130 of 2026- Choosing

Hi Friends,

I noticed a lot of picking and choosing lately. It has always been obvious to me, but in this particular circumstance at work, it felt even more prevalent. Sometimes people choose when standards matter. They choose when accountability matters especially if it reflects them.

They choose when something is acceptable and when it suddenly becomes a problem. And honestly, that can be hard to watch, especially when you know the same rules are not always being applied the same way.

But it also reminded me of something. I cannot control how other people choose to show up. I cannot control what they excuse, what they question, or what they decide to overlook.

What I can control is my own standard. I can control whether I stay grounded in my values, whether I keep my integrity, and whether I continue to move in a way that feels aligned with who I am. People may pick and choose, but I still get to choose myself.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 129 of 2026- Friday Happiness

 Hi Friends,

I came across this quote today:

“Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance.” ~ Martha Graham

This is such a simple reminder, but a powerful one. So often, we stop ourselves because we think someone is watching, judging, or keeping score. We wait until we feel ready, polished, prepared, or good enough.

But sometimes the point is not to be perfect it is to participate to move, to try and let yourself be seen in the middle of becoming.

Maybe dancing is not just about dancing. Maybe it is about giving yourself permission to show up before you have it all figured out.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 128 of 2026- A Bird

 Hi Friends,

A small bird flew into my house today.

You could tell it was scared. It kept trying to find its way out, not realizing that the same walls and windows around it were making it feel even more trapped.

Once it was gently set free, everything changed. It flew away so quickly, almost like its whole body remembered what freedom felt like.

It made me think about how fear can make us forget that we are capable of moving again.

Sometimes we are not stuck because we are weak. Sometimes we are just in the wrong environment, trying to survive in a space we were never meant to stay in.

And once we find the opening, even a small one, we remember how to fly.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 127 of 2026- Look

 Hi Friends,

Have you ever looked up during work, glanced outside your window, and simply noticed?

Try staring out for a few minutes and see what comes up internally.

I have made it a regular habit to look outside, no matter how busy I am, and just pause for a few minutes. Nothing fancy. No pressure to think deeply. Just look out.

You can do it while seated, and hopefully, you have a window nearby.

Day 126 of 2026-Take A Break

 Hi Friends,

Just a gentle reminder to take breaks as you need during the day. Yes, we are all busy, and there are so many meetings, but take the time to truly take care of yourself and give yourself that pause.

Step away for an hour-long lunch, or even step outside for a quick walk. Those small moments matter more than you think.

Day 125 of 2026-Monday and Force

 Hi Friends,

I am seeing a lot of people easing into the start of a new week today, and it also happens to be May 4th.

“May the Force be with you.”

It is a simple line, but it carries something deeper. The Force is not about luck. It is about awareness, discipline, and trust in your actions.

Mondays can feel heavy. A reset. A long list of things waiting for you. But the start of a week is not something happening to you, it is something you get to lead.

The Force, in your world, is your focus. Your standards and your willingness to show up even when you do not feel like it.

You do not need to control the entire week today. Just the next decision and let that be your version of the Force.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 124 of 2026- Allergies

 Hi Friends,

I am seeing a lot of people suffering with their allergies lately. The sneezing, the congestion, the constant irritation. It feels relentless when you are in it. Like it will never let up.

But allergies are a season. They show up, they peak, and then they pass. Life has seasons like this too. Periods where things feel uncomfortable, overwhelming, or just off. You cannot always control when they arrive, but you can control how you respond.

You take precautions. You pay attention. You give your body and mind what they need to get through it.

And you remind yourself that it is temporary and like every year this will pass.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 123 of 2026- Saturday Quote

 Hi Friends,

“The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears, or the sea.” - Karen Blixen

There’s something honest about that quote. Just three simple ways we move through what life puts in front of us.

Sweat is the work. The effort you give when things feel heavy or unclear. It’s showing up anyway, even when you don’t feel like it, trusting that progress comes from motion.

Tears are the release. The moments when you stop holding everything together and let yourself feel it. Not as weakness, but as a way of clearing space for something new.

And the sea… that’s perspective. Stepping back, breathing deeper, remembering that your problems, while real, are not the whole story.

Work through it, feel through it and step back from it.

Sometimes, that’s enough to move forward.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 122 of 2026- Happy May

 Hi Friends,

Welcome to the start of May. We are well into the year now. Time has moved, whether we were paying attention or not and this is a good moment to pause and check in with yourself.

How would you like this month to go? Not just what needs to get done, but how you want to feel as you move through it.

What are some important events coming up that you are genuinely excited for? Something to look forward to can shift your energy more than you think.

What are the things you need to take care of before the month ends? The conversations, decisions, or responsibilities you may have been putting off.

And maybe the most important question, what would make this month feel meaningful to you when you look back on it?

You do not need to have everything figured out. But a little clarity now can change how the rest of the month unfolds.

Have a great month.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 121 of 2026- April End

 Hi Friends,

Welcome to the end of our fourth month, April. Here are some month-end reflections for you.

What stood out to you this month?

Is there anything you need to start or end before tomorrow?

How are you feeling with another month coming to a close?

Take a moment to answer these honestly. They are pretty heavy questions, but they can lead to important insights.

I hope you had a great month.

Day 120 of 2026- A Thought On Mid Year Review

 Hi Friends,

When does a mid-year performance check-in become useful? When it truly allows the performer to speak and talk about their goals. When it’s the other way around, with the manager doing most of the talking and giving feedback, which is helpful, but not something that should take up over half the call, it signals something else.

What can you do in this situation? When you notice you’re not speaking as much, speak up and get your points across. Sometimes we try to be professional and avoid interrupting, but this is about you. You can still be professional and step in. Don’t stay quiet. Even if you don’t get through all your points, make a note of it for next time and be intentional about speaking up.

The mid-year check-in is about you and your highlights, not the other person. Your direction.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 119 of 2026- My Craving

 Hi Friends,

I had a craving for lamb a couple of weeks ago. Not just a passing thought, but one that stayed.

I tried a few other places, thinking maybe something close would do. It didn’t. Nothing quite matched what I had in mind and the craving didn’t go away.

So today, I finally made the drive to my favorite spot and ordered that lamb dish I’d been thinking about. And it was worth it.

It made me think how often we try to substitute what we really want with something more convenient. Something closer and easier.

But sometimes, it’s okay to go for exactly what you had in mind.

Craving or not, maybe there are things you don’t need to keep putting off.

Sometimes, you just go.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 118 of 2026- Almost End Of April

 Hi Friends,

As we approach the end of April, there are still a few days left. Just enough time to pause and take a look at what you had hoped to begin this month.

Maybe it was a project you kept thinking about. Something at work or home. Something just for you.

If it hasn’t started yet, that’s okay. The month isn’t over. Ask yourself: where can I begin, even in a small way? What is one step I can take before April closes? It doesn’t have to be perfect or complete. It just has to begin.

Sometimes progress isn’t about having more time. It’s about choosing to use the time that’s still here.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 117 of 2026-Inspirit

 Hi Friends,

Today I learned a new word: inspirit. It means to encourage or enliven someone.

Isn’t that a beautiful way to move through the day? To bring a little more energy, a little more light, not just for yourself, but for the people around you. It doesn’t have to be big. A kind word, a quick message, even a smile can shift someone’s moment.

Maybe that’s enough for today. Just to inspirit, in whatever small way you can.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 116 of 2026- Own It

 Hi Friends,

A nice rainy day to stay in and watch TV, or whatever else you like to fill your time with. As I was reading, I came across this quote:

“Whatever happens to you belongs to you. Make it yours.” — Cheryl Strayed

Simple, but it makes you pause. Not everything that happens is something we would choose, but it still becomes part of our story. The moment you stop pushing it away and start owning it, something shifts quietly, but clearly.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 185 of 2026- A Fun Weekend

Hi Friends, If you have a long weekend because of the Independence Day holiday, make really good use of it. Take time to step away from you...
