Day 231 of 2026- A Summer End Quote

 Hi Friends,

There's a quote from Evelyn Waugh that's been sitting with me as summer winds down, where he wrote about wishing it could always be summer, always that same easy stillness, the fruit always ripe.

There's something about that line that hits different this time of year, right when the light starts changing, and school starts. Summer always feels like it's asking to be paused, like if we just held on a little tighter, it wouldn't have to end.

But maybe that's exactly why it means something, because it doesn't last. The backpacks are going back on, the earlier alarms, the schedules filling back up; it all comes with a little bit of grief for the season that's ending. Still, there's something nice about a new rhythm starting too, even if part of you is already missing the version of the year that just wrapped up.

Have a great day!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 230 of 2026- Mid Month Check In

 Hi Friends,

We are past the middle of August; how is the month going so far for you? It always feels like this point in the month sneaks up; one day you're making plans for the whole month, and the next you're realizing there are only a couple of weeks left.

What have you learned this month that changed anything, even something small? Maybe it was a conversation that shifted how you see a situation, a habit you finally started or stopped, or just a moment that made you pause and rethink something. And what are you grateful for right now?

Sometimes it's the obvious stuff; sometimes it's something small you almost overlooked, like a good cup of coffee or someone checking in at the right time. No need to have it all figured out; just take a second today to actually think about it instead of scrolling past the question.

Have a great Monday!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 229 of 2026- Happy Sunday

 Hi Friends,

Hey friends, happy Sunday! Hope everyone's having a good, slow morning or is already out enjoying the day. I don't really have anything deep to say today; I just wanted to check in and hope you're taking it easy before the week starts back up. And if you've got kids heading back to college or school soon, take a deep breath; it's a big transition for everyone involved. Don't forget to wish them well as they head into this next chapter, and wishing you a little extra peace as you adjust too. Whatever else you've got going on today, I hope it's going well.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 228 of 2026- Be Present For Your Saturday

 Hi Friends,

As you enjoy your Saturday evening, do yourself a favor and be present. Not thinking about that email you forgot to send, not replaying that one conversation from Tuesday, not already stressing about Monday, just here, right now.

Whatever you're doing tonight, whether it's dinner with people you like, a quiet night on the couch, or just sitting outside with your thoughts, let it actually be that and nothing else. The week will still be there when it's time; it's not going anywhere, so there's no need to give it any more of your Saturday than it already got. Just enjoy the evening for what it is.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 227 of 2026- Leader Mood

 Hi Friends,

It's the end of the week, and I've been thinking about something that happened earlier: someone in a leadership role was in a rough mood and snapped at something small. And look, everyone has bad days; that's just being human.

But when you're leading others, you kind of have to hold yourself to a higher standard, because your mood doesn't just affect you; it affects everyone around you. A bad day is understandable; letting it spill out onto your team isn't really an excuse- it's a responsibility thing.

Still, I don't want one moment to define how I see someone overall; people are more than their worst day. So heading into the weekend, I'm choosing to give grace where it's fair, while also holding onto the reminder that leadership comes with the expectation of a little more self-control, especially when things get tense.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 226 of 2026- Guests

 Hi Friends,

I've got guests staying with me this week, and I've noticed they keep wanting to eat at home instead of trying anything new. Every time I mention a local spot or something popular around here, it's a hard pass; they'd rather just stick to familiar food.

At first I found myself a little puzzled by it, but at some point I just let it go. Not everyone travels for the food; some people just want comfort and familiarity, and honestly, that's fine too. So now I don't overthink it; I just go with what makes them comfortable and enjoy having them around, whatever ends up on the table. Sometimes it's not about getting people to do things a certain way; it's just letting them be who they are and enjoying the time anyway.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 225 of 2026- 42

 Hi Friends,

Douglas Adams once wrote, in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," that the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything is 42. It is one of the most famous jokes in science fiction, precisely because it refuses to be a real answer at all.

The number is absurd, arbitrary, and completely unhelpful, which is exactly the point. Adams was poking fun at our obsession with finding one tidy formula that explains everything, as if meaning could be reduced to a single digit if we just asked the right supercomputer.

The truth, as the book goes on to suggest, is that the real challenge is not finding the answer but figuring out what the question actually is. Maybe that is the real takeaway for anyone chasing certainty in their own life. Sometimes the answer is not what unlocks understanding. Sometimes it is learning to ask a better question in the first place.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 224 of 2026- Happy Tuesday

 Hi Friends,

What is the day and week holding for you today? There is always so much with work, family, and balancing life, although it is never truly balanced in all areas- some more and some less. Whatever you have going on today or this week, remember to take a moment in the morning and afternoon and say a few words of gratitude. It may just help you feel a little more balanced.

Have a great Tuesday!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 223 of 2026- A lesson Remembered

 Hi Friends,

I remembered an important lesson today, and I think it traces back to Maya Angelou, who once said that when someone shows you who they are, you should believe them the first time. It is such a simple statement, yet it carries a weight that most of us only come to appreciate after we have ignored it more times than we would like to admit.

We tend to make excuses for people, to convince ourselves that a bad moment was simply an aberration rather than a genuine reflection of character, and in doing so we often set ourselves up for disappointment that could have been avoided entirely.

Angelou's words are a reminder that people's actions, especially the ones that surprise or unsettle us, are rarely accidents, and that our first instinct to notice them is usually the correct one.

Friends, never forget this, because the moment someone reveals their true self is the moment you should be paying the closest attention.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 222 of 2026- A Nice Morning

 Hi Friends,

Woke up this morning just feeling grateful. Last week was a lot, and today feels different in a good way.

No errands, no big plans. Just spending time with the people I love and letting the day be quiet and slow. Sometimes that's exactly what you need after a rough stretch.

It's amazing how much you appreciate the simple stuff: good coffee, good company, not rushing around for once. We all need a little more of that.

If you had a tough week too, I hope you get a day like this soon. Slow mornings and time with loved ones can go a long way.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 221 of 2026- Saturday Exhaustion

 Hi Friends,

Hope you're all having a great Saturday! What's on the agenda today? I've got errands to run, and honestly, I'm feeling pretty exhausted.

Because of that, I'm planning to squeeze in a power nap this morning to recharge a bit before tackling the rest of my list. We all need a little boost on a busy weekend, and I'm a firm believer that a good nap, eating well, and taking a few deep breaths can go a long way.

What are you doing to take care of yourself this weekend?

Day 220 of 2026- What A Week

 Hi Friends,

It's Friday morning, and there's a small but real sense of relief in the air. Once this workday wraps, the decisions can't flip again, at least not until next week. What a week it's been.

If you've ever worked through a stretch like this, you know the feeling: the back-and-forth, the plans you build and then have to unbuild, the answers that don't quite feel final until they actually are. It wears on you in ways that are hard to explain to anyone who hasn't lived it.

But there's something in it too. Weeks like this have a way of testing your patience and reshaping how you hold onto plans a little more loosely, with a little more room for change. Not because you don't trust the people making the calls, but because trust has to leave space for things to shift.

If you're in the middle of your own version of this week, you're not alone. Here's to Friday, to the finish line, and to whatever next week brings.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 219 of 2026- Decision Flip

 Hi Friends,

It's the afternoon, and here we are again. A decision finally came down, except it's the complete opposite of what we heard just hours ago.

This is starting to feel like a pattern, not an exception. First it's yes, then it's no, then it's yes again, but different this time. By the time an answer actually lands, it's hard to even trust that it's the final one.

I get that priorities shift and new information comes in. But when a decision flips entirely within the same day, it stops looking like adaptability and starts looking like a lack of direction. And it's not just frustrating; it's costly. Every reversal means reworking plans, redoing timelines, and re-explaining things to people who already moved on the last answer.

At some point, the question isn't "what's the decision?" It's "how long until this one changes too?"

Here's hoping tomorrow brings something that actually sticks.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 218 of 2026- Indecision From Leadership

 Hi Friends,

Ever had a week where you just can't get leadership to make a decision? They go back and forth, and back and forth again, until you're left with the distinct feeling that there's no real sense of direction at all.

Well, that's been my day. And honestly, I suspect it'll be the shape of my week,  maybe even into the next.

It feels all too common these days: leaders who struggle to make a definitive call, especially in the exact moment you need an answer. The indecision doesn't just stall a project. It stalls everyone waiting behind it.

Here's hoping for a little more clarity soon, or all of us will be stuck in the holding pattern.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 217 of 2026- Stay Focussed

 Hi Friends,

Some mornings start scattered. Mine did today, a few too many distractions before I'd even opened my to-do list. And with a full plate of work waiting, that's a problem I can't afford to carry into the afternoon.

So here's my reminder, to myself and maybe to you too: focus is a choice you make over and over, not just once.

When you notice your mind wandering, don't fight it or beat yourself up. Just name it. A quick mental note, "I'm distracted right now," is often enough to loosen its grip. Awareness is the first step back to focus.

Then redirect. Pick the next task on your list, however small, and give it your full attention. Momentum builds fast once you're moving again.

Distraction is a detour, and the sooner you notice it, the sooner you can get back on your task.

Today's goal: notice the drift, name it, and get back to work. One task at a time.

Have a great Tuesday!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 216 of 2026- Lookout

 Hi Friends,

Did you know that I came across an article that shared some of the most-used lingo a sailor uses? One of those words was lookout. The article mentioned that "the lookout is the person at the ship's crow's nest, or also bridge, who maintains a continuous watch of the sea to report the sighting of whales or any kind of hazard that can be an obstacle in navigation and cause harm to the ship."

Do you have a lookout person in your life? I think of it as someone who is a supporter, who checks in, and who is honest with you at all times. There is no hidden agenda, and whenever you are with this person, you feel like you, no need to be anyone else, no need to perform. Just at ease.

A lookout doesn't steer the ship for you. They don't take the wheel or make the call. Their job is simpler and, in some ways, harder: to stay awake when everyone else is focused on the horizon ahead, to notice what you might miss when you're moving fast, and to say something before it becomes a problem instead of after.

That's the difference between a lookout and just about anyone else in your life. Plenty of people will cheer for you when things are going well. Fewer will tell you, gently but clearly, when you're about to hit something you can't see coming. A real lookout does both. They celebrate the smooth sailing, and they call out the storm on the radar, even when it's inconvenient, even when you don't want to hear it.

So here's the real question worth sitting with: who is your lookout? And just as importantly, whose ship are you watching over?

Have a great Monday!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 215 of 2026- Empty Mind

 Hi Friends,

Try to sit with an empty mind today, even if it's just for a few minutes.

I woke up exhausted this morning and could really use a nap. When I'm tired and running on little sleep, staying focused feels nearly impossible.

So on a day like today, I'm not going to fight it. I'll just sit, let my mind do its thing, and when it starts monkeying around, I'll gently come back to my breath.

Give it a try. What does your mind do when you sit with it?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 214 of 2026- August

 Hi Friends,

And just like that, it's August. People always say, "Boy, another month gone already. Where has the time gone?" We always act surprised when another month or year comes upon us, but it's really not that surprising.

Time will always continue, and it's up to us how we use it. So we need to stop acting like time is the reason it's flying by, or that we just don't have time. We do have time. So for this month, here are your reflective questions:

  • How am I managing my time?
  • Am I putting my energy and mind into the things that I truly want to do?
  • What do I spend a major chunk of my time doing?
  • What am I truly aspiring to do?

Friends, look at where and how you are allocating your 24 hours, and revise as you need to.

Have a great month ahead.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 213 of 2026- Last Day Of July

 Hi Friends,

Here we are at the last day of July 7 months into the year. I was at Costco, and they already have the Halloween decorations up! It got me excited.

I hope you had a great month, and I hope you are feeling excited. If you are not, I hope you find at least one, if not more, reasons to be excited.

Yes, there are only 5 months left in the year, but it's still 5 months. Make a plan to end the year strong.

In the meantime, here are some reflective questions for the month:

  • What did you get excited about this month?
  • What are some of your gains this month? At work, home, or the gym?
  • If you managed to take time off from work, what are you grateful for during that time off?
  • What are you grateful for right now in terms of where you are?
  • How can you close out the month today with one small goal?

Have a great Friday!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 212 of 2026- Stiff Neck

 Hi Friends,

Ever wake up in the morning with an extremely stiff neck that you can't even move your head? Well, that's me this morning, and it is really stiff. I've had a stiff neck before, and the one thing I did last time was massage it, which actually made the pain a lot worse. Sometimes the best thing to do is leave it alone for the first 24 hours, then massage and stretch it later if it still feels stiff.

We tend to want to jump in and relieve the pain so we can get back to feeling normal and moving our heads again. For me, at least, I need to leave it alone, and I know I'll be better tomorrow. In life, whatever you're going through, sometimes it's best to leave it alone until you can actually deal with it, then deal with it. Much like a stiff neck.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 211 of 2026- Breakfast

 Hi Friends,

Do you eat breakfast? There are so many different opinions out there about whether it's good for you and what the benefits actually are.

I tend to skip it a lot, but lately I've noticed my energy dipping late in the morning, and I find myself reaching for carbs to compensate. So today, I made it a point to actually have breakfast — some eggs with toast — instead of letting the day get away from me.

A lot of the time, I skip it because my mornings get busy, and I'm sure that's true for a lot of you, too. So, the lesson here is: take the time to fuel yourself. No one else is going to do it for you. Pay attention to how you feel; your body will tell you what it needs.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 210 of 2026- Take A Moment

Day 209 of 2026- Patience

 Hi Friends,

As we begin the week, here is a reminder to be patient. I know it's going to be a crazy one for me, so practicing patience is going to be key.

This week, I’m reminding myself to slow down, take things one step at a time, and give myself and others a little extra grace. A busy week can feel overwhelming, but patience can help us move through it with a clearer mind and a better attitude.

So as we start this week, take a breath, trust the process, and remember that it’s okay to slow down. Patience with yourself and with others can make a bigger difference than we realize.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 207 of 2026- Tough Conversation

 Hi Friends,

One of the hardest things to do is have a tough conversation. We avoid it, put it off, tell ourselves it can wait, simply because that's easier. But it's also one of the bravest things you can do, and sooner or later, it has to happen. I had one of those conversations today. It wasn't easy, but it was necessary. I'm glad I didn't put it off any longer, and it went better than I expected.

Have a great Saturday!

Day 206 of 2026- Make It A Quiet One

 Hi Friends,

If you get to Friday evening and realize you have nowhere to be, it's easy to feel like you're missing out on something everyone else has figured out, but an empty calendar on a Friday is actually a pretty rare thing, and it's worth treating it that way instead of scrambling to fill it with something last minute.

You could cook a meal that takes a little longer than usual, or finally start the book that's been sitting on your nightstand, or just sit somewhere comfortable without checking your phone every five minutes, because none of that requires other people or plans to feel worthwhile.

A quiet night at home isn't a lesser version of a busy one, even though it can feel that way when everyone around you seems to be doing something more exciting, and there's no real reason to treat rest as something you only earn after a full week of being social. So if Friday shows up with nothing on it, let it stay that way, and use the evening to slow down instead of trying to prove you had somewhere better to be.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 205 of 2026- A Little Motivation

Hi Friends,

"It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." — Confucius

By the time you're a few decades into life, you've learned that motivation is unreliable. It shows up when it wants and disappears right when you need it most. What actually gets things done isn't some burst of inspiration; it's the habit of continuing anyway. A slow month at the gym, a stalled project, a book you've been "reading" for a year, none of that is failure. It's just the pace some seasons of life allow.

So give yourself permission to go at whatever speed the week allows; just don't let a slow stretch talk you into stopping altogether. Momentum, even small, is still momentum.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 204 of 2026- Dreaming About A Vacation

 Hi Friends,

Today I was thinking about how nice it would be to just get away for a really long vacation. I know that wouldn't be possible right now, but it was great to daydream about being somewhere different and relaxing. While I know today or in the near future I will not be able to make it, I have hope that one day it will be a really nice, long vacation, like a few months.

Have a great evening/morning.

Day 203 of 2026- A Great Tuesday

 Hi Friends,

Tuesday is one of those days that can really set the tone for the rest of the week, if you allow it. It's the day after the crazy catch-up Monday, where you may have to reply to folks who worked over the weekend, plus other stuff — the day when a lot of meetings are usually held, and deadlines are just outrageous...

But Tuesday mornings give you a little room to breathe, and you get to set the tone for the week, whether it's going to be another Monday or just a Tuesday.

Have a great one!

Day 202 of 2026- Don't Get Attached

 Hi Friends,

As you begin the workweek, I want to share something I've started to practice and learn about. We all have many moments of stress — deadlines, difficult personalities, and more — that can truly shift our mood during the day. But one of the things I'm trying to remember is not to be attached to whatever is in front of me. It's a kind of boundary, and I think it's important for protecting your mood, especially if you're someone who's easily affected by others.

This isn't about caring less about my work; it's about not letting other people's moods become my mood.

So, starting today, no matter what happens — the stress, the people talking, the judging — I'm going to remind myself to keep doing my work and not get attached to what other people do or don't do. Just focus on you, and let everything else slide.

What's one thing you're choosing not to carry into this week

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 201 of 2026- Begin Again

 Hi Friends,

As we just passed the 200 mark in 2026, I read an article that has this quote from Oprah Winfrey:

"I want every day to be a fresh start on expanding what is possible".

Do you need a fresh start? If so, begin again. Begin as many times as you need to fulfill your dreams.

Have a great Sunday!

Day 200 of 2026- 200 Days Already

 Hi Friends,

Today marks 200 days into 2026, which means we only have 165 days left in the year. That may sound like a lot of time, but we all know how quickly the days can pass.

This is a good moment to pause and reflect on the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year. You do not have to accomplish everything at once, and you do not need to pressure yourself to have it all figured out.

Instead, take some time to decide what matters most to you. Choose a few goals, break them into smaller steps, and create a realistic plan. Progress does not always have to be fast to be meaningful.

There is still plenty of time to make changes, build better habits, and finish the year feeling proud of how far you have come. Make the next 165 days count.

Day 198 of 2026- A Late Thursday

 Hi Friends,

It's almost Friday. What are your plans for the weekend? I hope you have some exciting activities and time to relax. I usually try to finish my days a bit earlier on Thursdays, especially Fridays, but I realize today will likely be a late one. Still, I’m looking forward to wrapping up the week, checking a few things off my list, and enjoying the weekend once it arrives.

Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a productive end to the week and a restful, enjoyable weekend!

Day 197 of 2026- Mid July

 Hi Friends,

We're now halfway through July. How has your month been so far? What moments brought you joy this month? What are you grateful for? What are your main focus areas? What do you need to make this month truly great? I like to ask myself these reflective questions around midmonth.

I encourage everyone to pause, reflect, and note these thoughts. We often get caught up in everyday activities, making it hard to step back, but doing so is exactly what we need.

Day 196 of 2026- A Blah Day

 Hi Friends,

A lot of us have days when everything just feels blah. For me, this was one of those days. I did not feel like doing anything, and I was feeling so sleepy at work. So, I really just took it easy today. I completed what I needed to do, but I did not put too much pressure on myself.

When I got home, I changed into comfortable clothes, ate something, and relaxed for a while. I watched a little TV and stayed off my phone for a while because I needed a break. Some days are not exciting or productive, and that is completely okay. Sometimes, your body and mind are simply telling you to slow down and rest.

Hopefully, after getting some sleep tonight, I will wake up tomorrow feeling more energetic and ready for a better day.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 195 of 2026- A Trust Quote

 Hi Friends,

I came across this quote today on the internet: "We grow in time to trust the future for our answers." — Ruth Benedict, anthropologist.

It made me stop and think about how often we want everything figured out right away. We worry about what comes next, but many of the answers we're looking for only become clear with time and experience.

We can't predict every outcome, and that's okay. Sometimes the best thing we can do is keep moving forward, learning, and trusting that we'll understand more as we grow. This quote is a good reminder that not every question needs an immediate answer; some are meant to be answered by the future.

Happy Monday!

Day 193 of 2026- Did You Step Out

 Hi Friends,

When was the last time you took a walk in nature? I know for some, depending on where you are and the weather, it may not be possible, but today, I want to encourage you to step outside. It does not need to be long, but every minute counts.

Spending even a few minutes outdoors can make a difference. Whether it is a walk through your neighborhood, a nearby park, or simply sitting outside and taking in the fresh air, giving yourself a chance to connect with nature can help you slow down and reset.

If today is not the right day because of the weather or your schedule, consider making time this week. Your mind and body will thank you. Remember, every step counts, and sometimes the simplest habit can have the biggest impact on your well-being.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 192 of 2026- Happy Friday

 Hi Friends,

Happy Friday! As another week comes to an end, it's a great time to reflect on what you've accomplished instead of focusing only on what didn't get done.

Every challenge, every lesson, and every small step forward adds up over time. Take a moment to celebrate your progress, recharge this weekend, and return next week with renewed energy and purpose.

Hope you have a relaxing weekend and a fresh start ahead!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 191 of 2026- A Great Walk

 Hi Friends,

This morning, I went for a walk before the day got busy, and it reminded me how powerful simple moments can be. The fresh air, the quiet, and the slower pace helped clear my mind in a way I didn't expect.

For a little while, the stress, deadlines, and endless to-do list faded into the background. It was a reminder that we don't always need a big solution to feel better. Sometimes, all it takes is stepping outside, moving your body, and giving yourself a few moments to breathe and reset.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 190 of 2026- A Super Busy Week

 Hi Friends,

This week has been shaping where it is one of those weeks where everything seemed to happen at once. Between work, responsibilities, and trying to keep up with everything on my to-do list, it felt like there were never enough hours in the day.

It wasn't perfect, but I reminded myself that progress is better than perfection. Even during busy seasons, taking a few minutes to pause, reset, and focus on what matters most can make a big difference. Stressful weeks come and go, but how we respond to them helps shape who we become.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 189 of 2026- An Enthusiasm Quote

 Hi Friends,

I came across the quote, “Enthusiasm is the great hill-climber,” by Elbert Hubbard, which means that enthusiasm helps people overcome challenges. A hill can represent something difficult, like a goal, a problem, or a responsibility. When someone has enthusiasm, they are more willing to keep going, even when things are hard.

Enthusiasm gives people motivation. It helps them believe that they can succeed and makes the journey feel less stressful. For example, if a student is excited about learning, studying becomes easier. If a person is enthusiastic about a dream, they are more likely to work hard for it.

Overall, enthusiasm is important because it pushes people forward. It does not remove obstacles, but it gives people the energy to climb over them.

Day 188 of 2026- Happy Monday

 Hi Friends,

Monday morning after a long weekend can feel a little slow.

After a few days of rest, family, fireworks, crowds, and maybe sleeping in, getting back into work mode is not always easy.

So start small today. One task, one email, one decision, one step forward.

You do not have to sprint back into the game. You just have to get moving again.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 187 of 2026- Not A Fast Sunday

 Hi Friends,

The day after Independence Day feels like the perfect time to sleep in.

After the fireworks, the crowds, the noise, and all the excitement, sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down and let yourself rest.

Not every day has to start fast. Some mornings are meant for quiet, recovery, and giving yourself permission to ease back in.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 186 of 2026- Add Some Fireworks

 Hi Friends,

Tonight is the big fireworks celebration for Independence Day. And while it is great, colorful, and filled with families getting together, take a moment to add some “fireworks” to your own life.

If you are feeling low, dull, or low on energy, take time to notice what you can light within yourself, even if it is just a tiny spark that helps you take the next small step.

Because you need to do it for you.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 185 of 2026- A Fun Weekend

 Hi Friends,

If you have a long weekend because of the Independence Day holiday, make really good use of it. Take time to step away from your normal routine and enjoy the extra space in your schedule. Go outside, enjoy the weather, spend time with family or friends, and let yourself relax.

Eat the fun grilled food, enjoy fresh fruit, laugh a little more, and make the weekend feel special. Sometimes the best weekends are not about doing anything complicated. They are about being present, enjoying simple moments, and making memories with the people around you.

So this weekend, make it a blast. Rest, recharge, celebrate, and enjoy every bit of it.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 184 of 2026- A Hot Day

 Hi Friends,

It's a scorcher outside today. And on days like this, water suddenly becomes everyone's favorite drink,  even for those of us who usually pass on "plain old water."

Here's the thing: we only remember to hydrate when the heat forces us to. But your body needs water every single day, not just the sweltering ones.

So here's your reminder, not just for hot days, but for all days: drink your water. Your body runs on it.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 183 of 2026- Happy July

 Hi Friends,

Happy July. A new month is here, and with it comes another chance to enjoy the season we are in.

As July begins, take a moment to ask yourself:

What do I want this month to feel like?

What do I need more of in my life right now?

Where can I slow down and be more present?

What is one thing I can do for myself, my family, or my well-being this month?

I hope you take some time to enjoy July. Take a vacation if you can. Go to the beach. Enjoy the sun. Spend time with loved ones. Make new friends. Laugh more. Rest when you need to. Create memories that remind you how beautiful life can be.

And most importantly, keep a positive outlook on life. Every month brings new opportunities, new lessons, and new moments to be grateful for.

Wishing you a peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 182 of 2026- End Of June

 Hi Friends,

Happy last day of June.

Another month is coming to an end, and just like that, we have completed the first six months of 2026. It feels like a good time to pause, breathe, and reflect before stepping into the second half of the year.

How was June for you?

Was it peaceful, busy, exciting, overwhelming, or a mix of everything?

Were you able to spread some joy and smiles around?

Did you take time to enjoy small moments, or did the month pass by too quickly?

As we reach the halfway point of the year, it is also a good time to reflect on the past six months. What went well? What are you proud of? What lessons did you learn? What do you want to carry forward, and what do you need to leave behind?

Maybe the first half of the year went exactly how you hoped. Maybe it did not. Either way, you are still here, still learning, still growing, and still capable of choosing how you want to move forward.

Take a few minutes today to check in with yourself.

Are your daily choices matching the person you want to become?

As June ends, may you be grateful for what it taught you, proud of what you handled, and hopeful for what is still ahead.

Here’s to closing this month with reflection and beginning the next one with intention.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 181 of 2026- Happy Monday

 Hi Friends,

Hope you’re having a good start to your Monday.

A friendly reminder to carry your sunshine wherever you go today. Smile. Say hi. Be kind. Choose happiness when you can.

You never know who may already be having a hard day. A small moment of warmth from you could make their day feel a little lighter.

So if you have some joy in you today, don’t keep it all to yourself. Share it. Spread it. Let someone else feel it too.

 Hi Friends,

I’m glad I accomplished so much today and even had time for a nap. It was wonderful and much needed.

Day 179 of 2026- Happy Saturday

 Hi Friends,

“Set wide the window. Let me drink the day.”

This beautiful line was written by Edith Wharton, an American author best known for her novels about society, class, and human emotions. She was the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and her writing often focused on the quiet details of everyday life.

To me, this quote feels like a reminder to slow down and enjoy what is right in front of us. Opening the window is such a small action, but it can also feel like opening yourself up to life. The fresh air, the sunlight, and the sounds outside can make an ordinary day feel special.

Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to notice the world around us. Wharton’s words remind us to pause, breathe, and take in the day fully.

It is a simple quote, but it has a peaceful message: let life in.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 178 of 2026- Just Chilling Today

 Hi Friends,

As I mentioned in my post yesterday, I am logging off from work today. We all need to get better at logging off work every so often and truly taking the time off that we need.

Time off does not necessarily mean going somewhere, though that is nice. It can also mean staying at home, cleaning, taking a nap, catching up on movies, spending time with your kids, etc.

Today is my day to be home with my kids, relax, maybe take a nap, and catch up on reading. So, if you had the day off, what are some things you would do?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 177 of 2026- Logging Off Tomorrow

 Hi Friends,

I'm giving myself the day off tomorrow. And a few days next week.

The transition will still be messy when I get back. The new leadership will still be finding their way. The personalities will still clash. Nothing will be "fixed" in my absence and that's actually the point. The work doesn't depend on me holding everything together. If it does, that's a problem for after I've rested, not before.

Taking time off right now isn't a luxury. It's not something I'm doing instead of my job. It's something I'm doing for my job because the only way I can show up steadily while everyone else is finding their footing is if I actually have something left to give.

So tomorrow, I'm logging out. And I'm not checking Slack.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 176 of 2026- The Mess Continues

 Hi Friends,

Yesterday I wrote about lessons learned during transitions. Today I'm here to tell you: the mess continues, and that's okay.

Because here's what I didn't mention, transitions are messy not just because of systems and knowledge gaps. They're messy because people are involved. Different communication styles, competing priorities, stress responses, and yes, sometimes difficult personalities. The ideal handoff where everyone is patient and clear? It's rare. The reality is more complicated.

I'm learning that managing a transition means managing two things at once: the work and the relationships. And relationships are unpredictable.

The real challenge isn't the systems or the knowledge transfer. It's the people and right now, that includes new leadership trying to find their footing while you're trying to find yours.

Right now, it feels like we're just putting out fires. A decision was made that needs immediate correction. A miscommunication spirals into three different interpretations of what was actually said. Someone gets defensive about feedback they didn't ask for. The transition is temporary. The mess is temporary. But how you move through it? That stays with people.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 175 of 2026- Transition Mess

 Hi Friends,

Transitions are hard. Really hard.

I am transitioning into a new role, my manager recently left, and our team is changing. It has reminded me that no transition is ever perfect.

Here are a few lessons I am learning:

Not everything can be transferred from a knowledge perspective. Some things will simply have to be picked up by the next person along the way. So don’t stress yourself trying to cover every single detail.

Focus on the top priorities. The rest will start to fall into place.

You cannot teach every new person everything, but you can do your best to give them the key things they need to start.

Patience is also important. When you are meeting with the person taking over, staying calm and regulated matters more than you realize.

And finally, remember that you will soon be on the other side too, learning your own new role. So have grace. Be gentle with yourself and with the other person.

Transitions are not easy, but they are also temporary

Expect things to feel slower at first. During transitions, even simple tasks can take longer because people are asking questions, learning systems, and building confidence.

Protect your own energy. It is easy to overextend yourself trying to make the transition perfect, but you still need space to prepare for your own next role.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 174 of 2026- A Hope Quote

 Hi Friends,

Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.” ~ Lin Yutang

Hope is not always something we can see right away. Sometimes, it feels like there is no clear path in front of us. Lin Yutang’s quote reminds us that hope is created through action. A road does not appear in the country until people begin walking in the same direction. In the same way, progress often starts with one small step, even when the future is uncertain.

Many times, we wait for proof before we begin. We want confidence, clarity, and guarantees. But hope does not always come before the journey. Sometimes, hope is built because we keep going. Every choice, every effort, and every person who believes in something better helps form the road.

This quote teaches us that hope is not passive. It is something we create together by moving forward. Even when there is no road yet, our steps can make one.

Day 173 of 2026- A Win For Today

 Hi Friends,

There is such a sense of accomplishment when you do something, even if you did not feel like it. For example, exercise.

This morning, I did not want to wake up and work out. All of me was saying, “Just sleep in and go tomorrow.”

As tired and achy as I was, I woke up, got dressed, and went to the gym.

A win for the day.

What win or wins can you have today?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 172 of 2026- A Beautiful Saturday

 Hi Friends,

It is such a beautiful Saturday morning where I am. It is a perfect 68°F with low humidity, the sun is shining, and I had a good eight hours of sleep.

Sleep, the sun, nature, and our environment all affect us so much. They are part of our basic needs. We can control our sleep, and when possible, we should try to get eight hours each night. Nature can be a little different, but whether it is rain or sun, I truly enjoy the warmth on my skin. The cold, not so much, but snow is still so pretty to look at.

Today, try to spend some time in nature, weather permitting. Try to get a full eight hours of sleep tonight. Taking care of our basic needs is so fundamental.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 171 of 2026- Close Out Friday

 Hi Friends,

As we end this Friday, take a moment to step back and just breathe.

It may have been a busy week. Maybe there were deadlines, decisions, conversations, or moments that took more out of you than you expected.

But do not carry the busyness into the weekend. Leave it behind where it belongs.

Close out what needs to be closed. Let go of what can wait. Remind yourself that you showed up, you handled what you could, and you did the best you could with the time, energy, and clarity you had.

The weekend is not just a break from work. It is a chance to return to yourself.

You do not have to earn rest by finishing everything. Sometimes, rest is what allows you to begin again with a clearer mind.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 170 of 2026- Be You

 Hi Friends,

“Everything in nature invites us constantly to be what we are.” ~ Gretel Ehrlich

A tree does not apologize for taking up space. A flower does not rush to bloom because another flower opened first. The sun does not ask permission to shine, and the ocean does not shrink itself to make others comfortable.

That is what I love about this quote. It reminds us that maybe we are not here to force ourselves into something we are not. Maybe we are here to return to who we already are underneath the noise, pressure, comparison, and expectations.

Nature keeps giving us the same invitation: grow at your own pace, stand in your own shape, and trust your own season.

Because the world does not need a copied version of someone else. It needs the one and only you.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 169 of 2026- A Judgement

 Hi Friends,

A senior leader on my team is preparing to leave the company, and the transition of her work felt scattered. There was a lot to cover, but no clear agenda or consistent process for handing it over.

My first reaction was judgment. Then I paused.

Maybe the lesson was not about one person. Maybe it was about how easily important knowledge can live in someone’s head, notes, and daily habits without ever becoming a clear process.

It made me think about how everyone works. If you had to hand over everything on your plate tomorrow, would another person know where to begin?

Sometimes the moments that frustrate us also give us a question worth asking ourselves.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 168 of 2026- A Tuesday Reminder

 Hi Friends,

Tuesday can feel like an in-between day. The week is underway, but the weekend still feels far away.

So today, give yourself a little room to breathe.

Pause when you need to. Notice something good. Be kind to yourself and to the people around you.

You may not complete everything on your list, and that is okay.

A good day is not always measured by how much you accomplish. Sometimes it is measured by how present you were, how calmly you responded, or how you made someone else feel.

I hope your Tuesday brings you a clear mind, a few peaceful moments, and at least one reason to smile.

Have a good day.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 167 of 2026- A Great Quote

 Hi Friends,

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” — Anne Frank.

We often think improving the world requires a big platform, a perfect plan, or the right opportunity.

But change rarely begins that way, it begins in ordinary moments.

A thoughtful response instead of a quick reaction.
A kind word when someone is struggling.
A decision to speak up, help, listen, or take responsibility.

We do not have to wait until we have more time, more influence, or more certainty. We can begin with what is in front of us and start with yourself.

In finance, I have learned that small decisions compound. The same is true in life. One intentional action may seem insignificant, but repeated over time, it can change a relationship, a workplace, a community, or even the direction of a life.

Improving the world does not always mean doing something extraordinary.

Sometimes it simply means choosing to make the next moment better than the last.

The question is, “What can I improve today?”

Have a great Monday!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 166 of 2026- A Small Sunday Yes

 Hi Friends,

Today, I was tired and really did not feel like driving 20 minutes to the grocery store. But my child had been asking for something, and it mattered to them. So I went.

It was not a big sacrifice or a life-changing decision. It was simply one of those small moments when love asks us to move beyond what we feel like doing.

We often think meaningful choices have to be dramatic. Most of the time, they are not.

Sometimes they look like getting in the car when you would rather stay home. Sometimes they look like showing up, listening, or doing one small thing that lets someone know they matter.

I was still tired when I got back. But I was also glad I went.

Something to think about this Sunday: What small act of love are you willing to say yes to today?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 165 of 2026- Showing Up When You Don’t Feel Like It

 Hi Friends,

Today, I said yes to something I honestly did not feel like attending.

It was a graduation celebration for the son of one of my husband’s closest friends. I am not particularly close to the parents, but my husband and the graduate’s father have been best friends for years.

I had plenty of reasons not to go. I had a long list of things to get done, and walking into a place where I barely know anyone can feel uncomfortable for an introvert like me.

But I went for the graduate.

It was wonderful to see how happy he was and to celebrate his acceptance into the college of his choice.

For me, self leadership means making choices that align with my values, even when those choices are not the easiest or most convenient.

Yes, it felt a little awkward at times. But I made the best of it. I spoke with the people who wanted to talk, stayed for the entire event, and focused on why I was there.

Did I finish everything on my to-do list? No.

But I showed up for someone during an important moment in his life. And sometimes, that means more than checking another task off the list.

Something to think about: When was the last time you chose to show up for someone, even when it was inconvenient?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 164 of 2026- Something To Think About This Friday

 Hi Friends,

“I would rather have 30 minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.”— Robert Harling

Yesterday, I wrote about turnover, patterns, and what it means when several people leave an organization within a short period of time.

Today, this quote made me think about the choices people make when something no longer feels right.

Most of us want stability and certainty. We want to know that the next step will work out before we take it. But sometimes staying in a role, relationship, or environment simply because it is familiar can slowly take more from us than we realize.

My decision to move to another internal position was not about chasing something perfect. It was about recognizing that the role I was in was not the right fit and being willing to choose a different direction.

“Wonderful” does not have to mean exciting or dramatic. Sometimes it simply means feeling aligned, valued, challenged, or more like yourself.

A long time in the wrong place does not automatically make it meaningful. And a shorter experience can still teach us something important about what we want, what we value, and what we are no longer willing to accept.

Something to think about this Friday:

Are you staying because something is meaningful, or simply because it feels safer than making a change?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 163 of 2026- People Leaving

 Hi Friends,

Isn’t it alarming when two senior people, one junior person, and one manager all leave within less than eight months? What would you think if that happened in your organization?

That recently happened in mine. I am actually one of the people moving to an internal position in less than a year. My reason for leaving is simple: the role was not the right fit for me, and it was not what I thought it would be.

But when several people leave in a short period of time, it does make you pause.

Sometimes turnover is just timing. People grow and move and find better alignment elsewhere.

But sometimes, turnover is also information. It can reveal gaps in communication, leadership, expectations, culture, or decision-making.

For me, this experience has been a reminder that people do not only leave jobs. Sometimes they leave confusion, misalignment and leave environments where the decisions being made no longer make sense to them.

And when that happens repeatedly, it may be worth asking a deeper question:

Is this a people problem, or is this a pattern?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 162 of 2026- Indecision

 Hi Friends,

Today at work, I watched leaders struggle to make a decision even though the information was already there. The data had been gathered, the options were clear, and the decision had been sitting for almost a month.

I understand the need to be informed. Good decisions should be thoughtful, and leaders should not move forward blindly. But there is a point where needing more information becomes hiding behind information.

Indecision has a cost. It slows people down, creates confusion, and leaves teams waiting for direction. At some point, leadership requires more than analysis.

A delayed decision is still a decision. And sometimes, waiting too long does more damage than making the imperfect choice.

Have you witnessed that at work? What are your thoughts?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 161 of 2026- Taking It Slow

 Hi Friends,

Yesterday, I wrote about taking Monday slowly. Not dragging the day out, but easing into it with intention. Catching up on the small things that did not get done over the weekend. Giving yourself a little space before jumping straight into work mode.

But maybe that idea does not have to end on Monday. If work allows, maybe some of that slower momentum can carry into the rest of the week. Not every day has to begin with urgency. Not every task needs to be rushed. Sometimes moving with a little more patience helps us think more clearly, make better decisions, and feel less pulled in every direction. Slow does not mean unproductive. Sometimes slow is what keeps us steady enough to keep going.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 160 of 2026- Go Slow

 Hi Friends,

Monday's here, and before you jump straight into work mode, give yourself permission to ease in. If you didn't finish your personal stuff over the weekend, that's okay. Spend an hour yes, actually an hour catching up on emails, doing laundry, hitting the grocery store, or tackling whatever's been bugging you. Your brain will work way better once you actually sit down to work.

Working from home? Take advantage of it. Grab your coffee, chill for a bit, and ease into the day. Heading to the office? Use your commute. Get that coffee, sit in your car for a few extra minutes, and take some deep breaths before walking in. You're not being lazy, you're being smart. Start your week right, and the rest will follow.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 159 of 2026- Go Out By Yourself

 Hi Friends,

Sometimes we wait for others to invite us to go out to eat or do something fun. How about you take yourself out to eat? It may seem weird, and you might be thinking, "What if people look at me strangely?" But honestly, some of the best outings you can have are truly with yourself. You don't have to worry about where to go, you go where you want. You take as much time as you need. You can chill in your comfy clothes and not worry about dressing up. You can just be you and enjoy the company of you.

Plus, let's be real: nobody's watching. And even if they were, they're probably too focused on their own meals to judge you. Solo dining is having a moment, and you deserve to be the main character of your own story. So this weekend, treat yourself like the amazing human you are. Your future self will thank you, and you might just discover a new favorite restaurant in the process.

Now go forth and enjoy your own company. You're better at it than you think.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 158 of 2026- Summer Plans

 Hi Friends,

Yesterday, I wrote about planning for the summer season ahead.

As schools close and schedules begin to shift, summer can easily become something we move through without much thought. Vacations, family time, rest, solo time, projects, routines, and open weekends can all blend together quickly.

Here are a few questions to help you get started:

What do I want this summer to feel like?

What do I want more of?

What do I want less of?

Where do I need rest?

Who do I want to spend intentional time with?

What would make this summer feel meaningful, not just busy?

Planning does not mean every day needs to be scheduled. It simply means pausing long enough to decide what matters before the season passes by.

Summer will come either way. The question is whether you want to drift through it or move through it with intention.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 157 of 2026- Happy Friday!

 Hi Friends,

Happy Friday. I hope you had a good week. As summer approaches and schools close for summer break, take a moment to plan for the season ahead. Think about vacations, family time, solo time, and time to simply rest. Many of us move through summer without being intentional, but it is worth taking a pause and asking yourself what you want this summer to look like.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 156 of 2026- Safe Travels

 Hi Friends,

You tell someone you're going on a trip and suddenly your group chat is full of "safe travels!" messages. Like, everyone's saying it. And you're like, are people actually concerned right now, or is this just what you're supposed to type? I think it's both.

Honestly, we do worry more now. A flight delay doesn't feel like a minor inconvenience anymore, it feels like something could actually go wrong. And there's something about watching someone you care about get on a plane, or drive somewhere far, that makes you realize how little control you have. So you text them. "Safe travels." Like your words are going to somehow make a difference.

Sometimes people probably just copy what everyone else wrote in the group chat. That's real. But I think a lot of times, maybe most times people actually mean it. They're not thinking about plane crashes or whatever, they're just thinking "I want this person to be okay." And they're saying it the only way they know how.

So yeah, "safe travels" is kind of a small thing. But maybe that's the point? Maybe small things are how we tell people we care when we can't actually do anything.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 155 of 2026- A Timeless Quote

 Hi Friends,

Zhu Xi, a 12th-century Chinese philosopher, poet, and historian, left us with wisdom that still resonates today: "Wash away your old opinions to let new ideas in."

We often cling to our existing beliefs because they feel safe and familiar. But growth requires us to let go of what no longer serves us, making space for fresh perspectives and knowledge. As we enter the second half of the year, it's the perfect time to examine which opinions truly serve your goals and which ones are holding you back.

Growth doesn't happen automatically. So take a moment to reflect: what old opinions are you willing to wash away? What new ideas are you ready to embrace? Your future self will thank you for the growth you choose today.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 154 of 2026- Focus On Value

 Hi Friends,

I found myself in an interesting situation today.

We have a monthly meeting where we review data, and I've been working on improving the format and flow of the presentation to make our discussions more efficient. At our last meeting, I mentioned that I wanted to gather feedback on some proposed changes, and the idea was well received.

Today was that follow-up meeting. As I walked through the updates, one of the senior leaders who had previously supported the idea remained quiet and left the meeting early.

What stood out to me afterward was that it didn't really matter. Others in the room were engaged, contributed thoughtful feedback, and helped move the conversation forward. I got the input I needed and left with a clearer path ahead.

Sometimes we can become focused on one person's reaction, or lack of reaction, and miss what is actually happening around us.

Today's reminder: focus on the value you receive, not on the response you expected.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 153 of 2026- Happy June

 Hi Friends,

This month, think about something on your to-do list that would be easy to complete, and set a specific day, or number of days to get it done. It doesn’t have to be a big task. Maybe it’s something routine or monotonous that you’ve been procrastinating on, even though it would be relatively simple to finish.

Once you’ve completed it, take a moment to reflect on how it felt. Did you feel relieved? Accomplished? More motivated? Then choose another easy item from your list and repeat the process.

Small wins have a way of building momentum.

Let me know how it goes.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 152 of 2026- Last Day Of May

 Hi Friends,

We are on the last day of May. I have to say that while time is flying by, I am grateful for this time of year because the weather is so great.

So, how has the month been for you? Was it a fun and challenging one? Did it have lots of ups and downs? I am sure it did.

Take some time and reflect on the moments that mattered. How do those moments make you feel? Normally, during month-end reflections, I tend to ask myself questions like: What went well? What goals did I achieve? What did I not do?

But this month, I want you to just sit with it for a moment. It's the last day of May, so close your eyes and think about the smiles and laughter you experienced this month. Did a stranger say hi to you? Did someone make your day? Did you receive some good news?

Just think about your joyful moments and be present with them today. There is no need for an agenda or a long piece of writing. Just smile and be grateful.

I hope you had a great month. Time to close it out and take your smiles and good moments with you into the next month.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 151 of 2026- Rethinking Rituals

 Hi Friends,

“Don’t allow your rituals to become ruts.” — Todd Henry

Rituals can be comforting. They give us rhythm, structure, and a sense of stability. But sometimes, the same routines that once helped us can start to limit us.

Maybe this weekend is a good time to change things up a little.

Take a different route.
Try a new place.
Start your morning differently.
Have a conversation you’ve been avoiding.
Step away from the usual pattern, even in a small way.

Not every routine needs to be changed. But sometimes, a small shift creates new energy, new perspective, and new possibility.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 150 of 2026- 150 Days In

 Hi Friends,

Today marks 150 days of the year behind us. No matter what goals you set in January, this is a good moment to pause and reflect.

What's working?

What's not?

What have you learned about yourself so far this year?

It's easy to focus on what hasn't happened yet but remember progress is rarely a straight line. Sometimes the biggest wins are the lessons learned, the habits built, and the resilience developed along the way.

There are still more than 200 days left in the year which means plenty of time to adjust, recommit, or start something new.

The year isn't over and your next chapter is still being written.

What is one thing you want to focus on for the next 30 days?

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 149 of 2026- A Simple Shift

 Hi Friends,

Do your days mostly feel mixed, or do they go smoothly? It probably depends on your circumstances, but with the right mindset, more smooth days are possible than you think.

Some days are mixed with stress, frustrations, never-ending work, and priorities. Other days just fly by, work gets done, people cooperate, and everything flows.

Your mindset changes everything. So if today feels heavy, try talking to yourself, remind yourself, "Yes, it's a lot, but this too shall pass." That simple shift might be all you need. Try it out and see how it goes.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 148 of 2026- A Slower Week

 Hi Friends,

This week at work was slower than usual.

No constant urgency. No back-to-back deadlines. No feeling of needing to move from one thing to the next.

And surprisingly… I loved it.

Not because nothing got done. But because the slower pace created something that busy weeks rarely do, space.

Space to think, notice and to work with more intention instead of just momentum.

It reminded me that productivity doesn’t always have to feel rushed to be meaningful. Sometimes slower lets us see more clearly.

And sometimes a quieter week isn’t a sign that less is happening. Maybe it’s just making room for something different.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 147 of 2026- One Day's Work

 Hi Friends,

"Just set one day’s work in front of the last day's work. That's the way it comes out.” ~ John Steinbeck

Progress is usually not always one big moment or one perfect plan. Most of the time, it is simply doing what you can today. Then doing it again tomorrow. Some days feel small and slow. But each day still counts. Over time, the small efforts begin to build something. One day’s work in front of the last.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 146 of 2026- A Public Holiday

 Hi Friends,

Today is a public holiday, which means there is a different kind of quiet. The pressure feels a little lighter, and for once, taking it easy feels like the plan instead of the exception. I started the morning with a nap, which honestly felt like the perfect way to honor the day.

Just a slow start, a little extra rest, and permission to simply chill. Sometimes we forget that holidays are not only about doing something big. They can also be about pausing, resetting, and enjoying the simple luxury of not having to move so fast. Today feels like one of those days where the best thing to do is less. Less rushing. Less planning. Less pressure. More rest, more ease, and maybe a little more appreciation for a quiet morning. Sometimes, that is enough.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 145 of 2026- To Do Right

 Hi Friends,

"The time is always ripe to do right." ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

MLK said this in the context of justice, courage, and standing up for what is right. And while that message is much bigger than any one person, I think it also applies to how we live our own lives. There is rarely a perfect time to do the right thing or a moment when it feels easy, convenient, or comfortable. Sometimes doing the right thing means having the hard conversation or walking away from something that no longer aligns with who you are.

Sometimes it means choosing honesty, even when silence would be easier and standing by your values when nobody else understands. We often wait for the “right time” to make a better choice, but maybe the right time is not something we wait for. Maybe the right time is created the moment we decide to act with courage, integrity, and self-respect. Do right by others, but also do right by you, because the time is always ripe to live in alignment with who you say you are.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Day 144 of 2026- Get An Alarm Clock

 Hi Friends,

One of Hoda Kotb’s quotes from her 2026 commencement speech really stood out to me. In her “life lessons,” Lesson No. 5 was: “Don’t use your phone as an alarm clock. Don’t do it.”

She shared nine lessons, and all of them were meaningful, but this is the one I want to touch on today.

We are so used to using our phones as alarms. It feels normal because it is convenient. But her point was deeper than just the alarm itself. She said, “Let the world in when you are ready.” The world is always trying to break into your life through notifications, messages, emails, news, and noise.

And when the first thing we reach for in the morning is our phone, we are letting the world in before we have even had a moment with ourselves.

Maybe the lesson is about giving yourself space before the day starts asking things from you. Before the world gets your attention, maybe you deserve a few quiet minutes to check in with yourself first. The phone can wait.

So go buy an alarm clock.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!
