Day 31 of 2023- Happy Last Day of January

 The final day of January. It has gone by so fast. Give thanks and a pat on your back for getting through this month. It may have been hard but you did get through it. 

Reflect on how the month ended. What are some of the key takeaways for the month. What did you enjoy the most and what did you just disliked and why. We always learn lessons as we go therefore use this time to write down key lessons learned. 

Most importantly be gentle with yourself. Look in the mirror and thank yourself for waking up in the morning and getting through the day. Give thanks to yourself. 

Write all the things that you are thankful for. Really look at the month and note any feelings that come up and then ready to move forward to a brand new month.

Day 30 of 2023- Give Thanks

 Hope you all had a great Monday. The last Monday of January. Times really does go by so fast. Take a little time to list all the things that you are grateful for. I always like to do this daily but I too forget a lot of times. So here is a reminder for us. 

As you end the day, give thanks for the day. It could be as simple as just getting through the day and you certainly did.

Day 29 of 2023-Gloomy Sunday

 Its a rainy Sunday here and while its nice to be home and relaxing it also makes me not want to do anything else. 

Sunday is primarily reserved for rest and I love to just be able to sit and catch up on my reading but lately that has been hard. On a day like today, I am somewhat more motivated but the weather is just making me feel like not wanting to do anything. You know its all okay!

If you are having one of those Sundays, give yourself permission to just relax and not push yourself.

Day 28 of 2023-Saturday must do

 Do you have any Saturday habits that just helps start the weekend of right? Mine is to have a relaxing cup of coffee before anyone wakes up. 

For me, like many of you, the weekdays are pretty hectic and I usually rush through my cup of coffee. I like to take the time to sit and just not rush through it and most importantly to really enjoy my cup of coffee. 

On Saturdays, that is the one habit that really sets my weekend off to the right start. I love my relaxing coffee. What about you? What is the one thing that you must do on a Saturday to start the day of right or the one thing that you can think of starting that will start the weekend of right. Make it a habit and really stick to it. It makes a huge difference on your weekend.

Day 25 of 2023-Try to be patient

 A lot of times there are people that you deal with on a daily basis at home or at work that really test your patience. I know at work, I deal with really difficult people and they are constantly testing my patience. 

I have learned that this year, I really do want to practice more patience. I know that everyone is stressed out and have their own problems so I try to be patient. I am not good at it and know that I need to get better. I try to remember to be patient as hard as it maybe in the moment. But try your best.

Nature is so natural and real. We need to learn to be constantly true to our natural self. Everyday ask yourself if you are being true to who you are.

If you are living in an area where the weather is nice, take the nature walks daily if you can. Even if it is cold, step outside and see nature. Even a few minutes makes a difference. Learn from nature and be like nature. What does that look like for you or mean to you?

Day 22 of 2023-Ah I love Sundays

 I always like to wake up early on Sunday's and just relax and have my cup of coffee. There is something about waking up early on the weekends and just enjoying the time to yourself. 

Try to keep the morning time to yourself and if you are able to wake up early, then do that. Relax and have your morning cup of tea or coffee. Take a few deep breathes and just be. Enjoy your Sunday!

Day 21 of 2023-To listen

 One of the things we can all learn is to try to listen more to each other and to learn. If you are meeting with friends or family this weekend just try listening a little more. We all like to interject with our opinions and advice but you learn so much from just listening. 

I for one have made it my job to listen a lot more. I would like to stay quieter and to just listen. There are so many things that you can learn from the other person and about the person. So maybe its just for today, sit and listen and reflect on what you learn.

If you are just hanging out with yourself, then spend sometime with your heart and listen to it. What is it saying to you? Take the time to reflect and write down your thoughts and enjoy the weekend!

 Sometimes we forget that we were kids. How can you fit in play during the week? It can be game night, a sports game or taking time to walk.

Find something that you can do to take your mind off things and stress that can run really high during the week. Finding the time to play will help ease your weekday tensions. Go have fun!

 Dalai Lama once said "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others."

Try to figure out ways to be helpful to others. It can be such a life lifting experience to help others out. We need to first though help ourselves and then be able to help others. 

How can you help others this years? Think about small ways to make that impact. I think every small act to just help someone or even a hello and a simple conversation can be helpful. Look for the small to help others and then when you are able to or if you are ready now, help in bigger impactful ways. 

Try to make that a mission for 2023.

Day 17 of 2023-Its so cold

Its so cold here in the east coast and I find my body aching and wanting to feel the warmth. I am not a fan of winter and feel like if it is going to feel this cold, then it should just snow but it is not snowing either. 

I try to do everything to stay warm but if you are like me and just don't enjoy the cold weather, I keep thinking that spring will come soon and it will. 

Having the mindset that winter will not last forever helps with my mindset. I know this is a good time to inwards and to do what I need to do to prepare for spring.

Use this time to do work inwards and to prepare for the next 3 seasons before the next winter. What does that look like for you? Take time to reflect on your needs and goals and go one step at a time.

Day 11 of 2023-How is it going this mid week

 Hello Friends! So how is it going? How are things going for you all this mid week? I can tell you that its been a pretty rough start to the week for me and has not stopped. 

Its been really frustrating and seems like the work has been non stop and just getting worst. But I do check in with myself to see how I really feel. 

Take a step back and just ask yourself, Self how are you doing? Write it down or just express it either to yourself or someone you know. A lot of times there is nothing we can do about it but to just keep going even if it is frustrating and since you really can't control much, just control on how you want to react to the situation. So really know how you are doing.

Day 8 of 2023-Dont give up yet

 Happy Sunday! A lot of us have new year's resolutions and focus on loosing weight and getting healthier. Since this is the first week of January, check in with yourself and see how you are doing? Reflect on your goals but go easy on yourself. 

It is a little to early to see any changes yet and I am sure the first week was hard. Its hard to wake up, go to the gym and keep yourself motivated but don't give up. The first few weeks are the hardest and its usually after the first few week that you want to give up but don't. 

Stick through with your goals. Find the support you need to keep going to the gym even if it means getting a coach or a trainer. It will be hard and may feel hard for sometime but then it will get to a point where it won't be as hard. 

Be proud of yourself of getting through the first week of your goals. You've got it! Find the strength to stick with it.
