Living A Wholly Life

About Me

Hello, My name is Monita. I am married and have two beautiful children who are and will forever continue to be my greatest teachers. I love to read, journal, exercise, cook and  consider myself a foodie. Yes, I love food!!

22 years ago I was on my way here to the United States of America and had no idea then that I would be living in this country for as long as I have. I came here for my undergraduate studies and never moved back home.

My journey has been and continues to be one of great ups and down, learning and growing. In life, there are lots of turning points and ever since I turned 40, I feel like I am at a great turning point in my life and can honestly feel like I am being re born again.

It feels like a whole new beginning but the truth is that we are born every morning and now when I wake up every morning I say "Thank you god for another day to live my wholly life, to learn from my mistakes, to become a better person and to learn my true self".

This is my prayer, my hope and as my grandfather used to always say "keep your hopes and wishes candle lit and never let it burn off". He was a very wise man and I truly miss my grandparents a lot but I also know that they are my angels watching over me.

Life is a journey which will eventually come to an end and when I get to the end I hope to be able to look back, smile and say yes I lived my life in the fullest and most authentic way through my soul. My kids have been a great inspiration for me and my prayer is that as they continue on their path of life that I can guide them through their journey reminding them to never forget who they truly are.

My work begins daily on my inner self first to be whole, present and my true self. No matter what comes up, my every intention would be to keep getting up, to work through it and to let my soul be my guiding light. Let the journey begin.

Peace,

Monita
