Day 246 of 2026- First Hump Day Of September

 Hi Friends,

Well, that didn’t take long. Two days into September, and we’re already smack in the middle of the week—hump day, right on schedule.

There’s something almost funny about it. We just talked about this huge blank canvas, with thirty wide-open days ahead of us, and here comes Wednesday reminding us that life doesn’t actually pause for big, fresh starts.

The emails still pile up, the laundry is still there, and the calendar is still full. Work needs to be done, meals need to be prepared, and there are always places to go and things to remember.

A new month may feel fresh, but it doesn’t make our everyday responsibilities disappear.

But hump day gets a bad reputation that it doesn’t totally deserve. Yes, you may be tired. Yes, the weekend still feels far away, and Monday somehow feels like it happened a long time ago.

But you’re also over the hump.

You’ve made it through the hardest part of the week—the part where you’re still shaking off the weekend, trying to find your rhythm, and figuring out how you’re going to manage everything ahead of you.

From here, it’s downhill.

That doesn’t mean the rest of the week will be easy or that nothing unexpected will happen. It simply means you’ve already made progress, even if it doesn’t feel like much.

Sometimes we focus so much on what's still left to do that we forget to recognize what we have already accomplished. Maybe you answered the email you had been avoiding, completed an important task, made it through a difficult meeting, or simply got out of bed and showed up when you did not feel like it.

Those things count too.

So maybe today isn’t about big plans or bold goals. Maybe it’s just about getting through—and getting through well.

What would getting through well look like for you today?

Maybe it means finishing one task instead of trying to finish ten. Maybe it means taking a real lunch break, drinking more water, stepping outside for a few minutes, or saying no to something that can wait.

Maybe it means giving yourself some grace because you’re doing the best you can with the time and energy you have.

We often believe that every day needs to be productive, exciting, or meaningful. But some days are simply bridges. Their purpose is to carry us from one place to another.

Wednesday can be that bridge.

It may not be the day when everything changes, but it can be the day when you keep going. Sometimes that small, steady movement matters more than making one big leap.

Two days into your blank canvas, it’s okay if today’s brushstroke is just a small, steady line that gets you to Thursday. Your canvas does not have to become a masterpiece all at once.

You still have plenty of September ahead of you.

Take a breath, recognize how far you’ve already come this week, and focus on the next thing in front of you.

You’ve got this. Halfway there.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Peace,

Monita
