Day 300 of 2026
Hi Friends,
We have hit the 300-day mark for 2026. It’s an exciting time of year, with only 65 days left. That does not seem long, does it? It is not long enough for everything, but it is a good amount of time. A little over nine weeks, and honestly, anything can happen in that much time.
This isn’t going to be a post about starting your goals or getting going. It is simply a post about pausing today and being grateful for the last 300 days.
Three hundred days is a lot of mornings. It is a lot of alarms, cups of coffee, meetings, errands, and ordinary evenings. Most of them did not feel special while we were living them. But together they make up the biggest part of a year, and you made it through every one of them. That deserves a moment of thanks.
Think about how many things happened in that stretch that you could not have predicted in January. Some were wonderful. Maybe a trip, a new friendship, good news, or a small win you were proud of. Some were hard, like a stressful season at work, a loss, or a week that tested your patience. Both kinds shaped you. The hard days taught you what you can handle, and the good ones reminded you what is worth protecting.
Gratitude does not mean everything was perfect. It means looking back and noticing what held you up. The people who checked in at the right time. The routines that kept you steady, like a slow Sunday coffee or a walk on a tired day. The small joys that showed up uninvited, like a good meal, a funny text, or a quiet morning with the birds.
Here is a simple way to do this today. Find a quiet ten minutes, maybe with a warm drink and no phone. Let your mind travel back through the year, from January to now, and let a few moments come to you without forcing them. Then name three things you are grateful for from these 300 days. Be specific. Not just “my family,” but the dinner where everyone stayed at the table for two hours. Specific memories are easier to feel and easier to keep.
Notice, too, how you have changed. You may be more patient in some ways and more honest about your limits in others. You may have learned to rest, to say no, or to ask for help. Those quiet shifts are easy to miss, but they are real progress, and they count.
You do not have to turn any of this into a plan. You'll have time to think about the final stretch of the year. For today, it is enough to stand here, look back, and say thank you.
A few questions to sit with:
What moment from the past 300 days are you most grateful for?
Who showed up for you this year in a way you will never forget?
What is one thing you handled this year that you did not think you could?
What small, ordinary joy do you hope never changes?
Take your time with these, and answer them for yourself or share one in the comments. Here is to 300 days behind us, and to whatever the next 65 may bring.
Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!
Peace
Monita
