Day 170 of 2021-Happy Juneteenth

Happy Juneteenth holiday you all! Hope you have taken the time and day to remember this day. I am really happy that it will be a Federal holiday now.

For those of you who are not aware, here is where the holiday derived its name:

"Juneteenth derives its name from June 19, 1865—the day that U.S. General Gordon Granger informed the enslaved individuals of Galveston, Texas, that they were officially free". (From smithsonianmag.com)

So be with family and just chill today. If you have young kids, help them understand the importance of this holiday.

Enjoy your weekend!

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Peace

Monita
