Good morning! Hope you all had a great weekend. I am exhausted but glad that I still made it to the gym this morning.
What's happening this week? Some thoughts on beginning the week is to ask yourself what's my intentions for this week? This really helps to lay out a plan of action or provide support especially if the week is going to be tough.
I know that I have an extremely tough week ahead and its going to be long hours. I also know that by setting my intentions it will provide me with the support to get through the week. For example, one of my intentions is to make sure that I really take special care of my mental and physical health. Given how stressful this week will be, I know that if I don't take the time for myself, I may end up getting sick or loosing it.
I may react out in a way that I know I will regret. So when my stress levels are extremely high, I take it out on others more. My kids especially have to hear a lot from me and that is unfair to them. So managing my stress and emotions on this extremely busy week is going to be critical.
Its so hard to be at a job you don't like and have to put in so many hours. I realize that it is my responsibility and I don't have any choice for now. So setting the intention to really focus on my mental health is going to help me get through this.
For starters, making sure I hit the gym 5 days this week will help to lessen the stress. I know that it will help me to lower my cortisol levels and help clear my mind. Meditating for at least 10mins will help me stay centered and reading something funny everyday.
Setting the intention will help me control what I can for myself. I can't help that the work is a lot but I can control how I intend to pay special attention to myself.
Set your intentions every week, whether or not you have a busy week ahead but pay special if it is an extremely difficult one. Hang in there you all! Remember, this too shall pass.
