Day 118 of 2021- National Poetry month

Happy Wednesday you all!! Did you know that April is National Poetry month. Such a great way to celebrate your craft.

I have never tried to write a poem or even read them on a regular basis but definitely want to try to. I find poetry so interesting and a great insight to what the poet may be feeling, the same feeling of reading a book.

Anyways, I came across this poem and wanted to share it. Its by Langston Hughes:

April Rain Song

Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The rain makes running pools in the gutter
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain.

I love the rain and just watching it rain makes me feel so relaxed. I also love the smell of the air when it is raining, so refreshing.

Are you into poetry or have you written one yourself? I hope to read more poems and be able to share.

Hope it rains where you are today and if it does, step outside and play in the rain.

Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!

Peace
Monita
