Sometimes it easier to work alone and I have found that to be the case for me. I like to work alone and do better that way. I have also found that working alone is not sustainable in the long run. Therefore, work together.
I don't have a great manager. In fact, my manager is probably one of the worst ones I have but I have also learned to recognize who she really is and to try to work around her. That has been hard, but if you have to work together in a team, then you have to learn to put the differences aside for the moment at least.
Most of my work is done without my teams involvement and so I know that is temporarily that I have to deal with it. So learn to work together and know what works for you and doesn't. If it is to much, then find something else.
