Hey Friends!
"Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder."-Rumi
The quote above is a great reminder to be careful with your words and how you say it. I recently had a family member who wrote a text in a way that came across to me like he was yelling but he said with the words and punctuation marks that made me very upset and angry.
I chose to wait to respond and was very careful with my words to him. Its not the first time he has done this but I know now how to respond to him .
I also remember that it is how I choose to respond that will make the difference to me especially. I felt good about what I said and it does not mean that I am not angry with the angry. I am upset and very angry but I am proud of my words. I will keep throwing flowers at him or anyone else but I also know my boundaries and when it gets too much I also know what to do.
In the meantime, keep the quote above in your mind and remember it when you need it. For me, its everyday now.
Have a great evening.
Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!
Peace
Monita
