Hi Friends,
The system went down at work today. At first, everyone assumed it would be back in a few minutes. Then a few minutes turned into an hour, and we still had no estimate of when it would be fixed.
Work began piling up, deadlines didn't move, and people kept asking for updates. It was frustrating because we were ready to work, but the tools we needed were unavailable.
The hardest part was not even the system being down. It was the uncertainty. If we'd known it would take two hours, we could've planned around it. But without a timeline, everyone was stuck waiting and wondering what to do next.
Eventually, I focused on the tasks I could complete without the system.
Sometimes things are outside our control. The best we can do is stay flexible, communicate clearly, and keep moving where we can.
