Hi Friends,
A small thought came to mind today. The words were simple but powerful: “It is what you do with it, Monita.” I was reflecting on a few things, letting my mind wander, and then that sentence rose to the surface with surprising clarity.
The more I sat with it, the more I realized how true it is for almost everything in life. Every experience we go through, every moment that lifts us up or challenges us, every relationship that grows or fades, and every choice we make, big or small. There is rarely a single right answer or one perfect path. Life is far more fluid than that. What really shapes us is how we choose to respond, how we interpret our experiences, and what meaning we decide to give them.
We often spend a lot of time wondering if we are doing things the correct way or if we are making the best decision. But when you think about it, the power has always been in how you decide to use what life hands you. You get to choose what you learn from a painful moment. You get to choose how deeply you appreciate a joyful one. You decide whether a difficult conversation becomes a wall or a bridge. You decide whether a challenge becomes a setback or a stepping stone.
This is what it truly means to be the Chief Self Officer of your own life. You guide yourself, you set the tone, you interpret the moments, and you lead with intention. Being your own CSO is not about perfection. It is about awareness. It is about reminding yourself that you are at the center of your choices, and you get to decide how your story moves forward.
So the next time something unexpected comes your way, pause and ask yourself what you want to do with it. Not what you should do or what you are supposed to do, but what aligns with who you are becoming. That small shift can change everything.
Because in the end, it really is what you do with it.
Wishing you peace and happiness from my heart to yours!
Peace
Monita
